[Electro Pop] Britney Spears – Till The World Ends (Cavaliers of Fun Remix)

Picture+1 [Electro Pop] Britney Spears Till The World Ends (Cavaliers of Fun Remix)

There’s so much to say when it comes to Britney Spears… yet this remix comes from a producer never featured on The Music Ninja so I’ll stick to giving you the low down on him. Coming out of the UK, Cavaliers of Fun is a one man producer and I’m pretty darn impressed with this dude. His style of electro-pop / nu-disco has really evolved since he first started out with this remix adding a real ‘feel good’ vibe to the original.

With an upcoming EP thats due to be released soon under Barcelona based Holographic People (former Heartbeats), I think we’ll be hearing from Cavaliers of Fun again very soon.

[NEW] The Glitch Mob – Warrior Concerto

The Glitch Mob Warrior Concerto [NEW] The Glitch Mob Warrior Concerto

The Glitch Mob have partnered with Lollapalooza to exclusively premiere a FREE MP3 download the first single, “Warrior Concerto,” from their forthcoming EP, “We Can Make The World Stop,” which is set to be released July 12th on the band’s own Glass Air imprint.

“Warrior Concerto” is a larger than life symphonic anthem with complex string progressions and the haunting bassline the Glitch Mob is known for incorporating. It almost feels like there will be an attack to the very own definition of what The Glitch Mob is and this song is only getting them ready for a devastating melodic war.

We actually caught up with the trio again for an interview at EDC Las Vegas and all things point to an eventful summer and winter.

[Folk] Laura Marling – A Creature I Don’t Know

British folk sensation, Laura Marling has unveiled details of her third album ‘A Creature I Don’t Know’ which is set to be released on 12th of September. It follows the success of her Mercury nominated sophomore record ‘I Speak Because I Can’, a dark and thoughtful masterpiece that was without doubt one of my favourite records of 2010.

Last week Laura released a preview of her forthcoming record in the shape of the above YouTube teaser which hints at the albums polished beauty. Today I stumbled across this live recording of ‘Night After Night’ on The Ruckus. Lifted from ‘A Creature I Don’t Know’ and recorded at Housing Works in New York City on June 14, 2011, this wonderful song really highlights Laura’s fluid guitar playing and impassioned Leonard Cohen-esque vocal delivery. This is folk at it’s finest

Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas was an absolutely awe-inspiring experience for all hundreds of thousands of EDM fans in attendance. I’ve been to MANY festivals before and I had even been to EDC in LA in years past: however, nothing of equal caliber to that of EDC Las Vegas. So many people were so quick to speculate imminent disaster, even before the event began. But, EDC Vegas was not only the most brilliant and vibrant production I have ever seen, it was also the most organized and well-contained of ANY event I have been to, EVER.

In other words, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas 2011 was an incredible success. And here are all the amazing photos to prove it.

[NEW!] Bassnectar – Upside Down

BASSNECTAR DIVERGENT SPECTRUM CoverWEB [NEW!] Bassnectar Upside Down
So we’ll make no pretense, we love Bassnectar…  so when this popped through our inbox we got a bit excited. Set to be the first single of his upcoming ‘Divergent Spectrum’ album (out August 2nd), Upside Down from Bassnectar bridges between drum n bass, hip-hop and dubstep but with an addictive charging beat that see’s him gain even more ninja loving. The Santa Cruz producer has been busy in the studio working on some fresh material for the album in which “every song is different and represents a diverse shade on the sonic spectrum”. Sounds pretty cool eh?

[Electro/Hip Hop] Look At Me Lotus (Disco Fries & Tommie Sunshine Bootleg)

chris brown feat lil wayne and busta rhymes look at me lotus [Electro/Hip Hop] Look At Me Lotus (Disco Fries & Tommie Sunshine Bootleg)

Long time favourite of this blog Tommie Sunshine has got together with New York duo Disco Fries to get some fresh tunes ready for Sunshine’s July/August tour of Australia & Europe.

Mumbai Science‘s track Lotus is seriously taking off, with sooo many DJ’s like Erol Alkan & Mustard Pimp dropping it in their sets, it’s a definite crowd pleaser. Sunshine has obviously seen the track drop in a club and wondered what would happen if he mixed it in with one of biggest tracks to hit 2011 - Look at me now.

The result is everything you’d hope it to be. We all get nervous when we see 2 of our favourite tracks mixed together – but this one hits the mark and if I were a DJ, I’d hop straight onto this shizzle.

One word of advice – wait for Busta‘s entry at around 3:30.

[Electro/Hip Hop] Vato Gonzalez – Badman Riddim (Jump) [feat. Foreign Beggars]

VATO GONZALEZ1 [Electro/Hip Hop] Vato Gonzalez Badman Riddim (Jump) [feat. Foreign Beggars]

Vato Gonalez track has just been given a serious revamp by UK hip hop crew Foreign Beggars who won ‘Best New Act’ at the 2004 UK Hip Hop awards. The tune unleashes some beats of fury and the added vocals and cuts from Foreign Beggars keeps the house classic track just as addictive as the original. Radio 1 haven’t messed about and have already slammed this into their A Playlist and with so much energy behind beat, I’m finding my self get some serious crunk on.

The full EP is being released under Ministry Of Sound and features several good remixes, but I stumbled upon this belter by Drum & Bass producer Tru Fix & Milton Keynes based dubstep producer Thunderskank that is a worthy electro house fix for any addict.

[Indie] Bombay Bicycle Club – Shuffle

bombaybicycleclubbbc 1024x682 [Indie] Bombay Bicycle Club Shuffle

A few days ago, Bombay Bicycle Club posted their new single, Shuffle, on their soundcloud page. We couldn’t be happier. This London 4-piece has already put out 3 EPs, and 2 full length albums, all of which are worth your attention.

This new single is more than enough to make you smile. The soft vocal style of Jack Steadman are the perfect compliment to the repetitious piano sample. Coupled with a poppy beat, you won’t have a hard time listening to this track a few times over.

You can expect this track on their next album, A Different Kind of Fix, which will be out August 29th.
