[Experimental] M+A – Liko Lene Lisa

Hey kids, it’s Chris from dailybeatz.com here with a special guest post for my boy The Music Ninja as he drives from Florida to Texas with no cd player or ipod connection, suffering through each painful minute with nothing more than FM radio to keep him company. I sent this track to him last night because I thought he would go crazy over it, and sure enough he did. It’s from M+A, the Italian duo of Michele Ducci, 19, and Alessandro Degli Angioli, 22 and is one of the more interesting tracks I’ve heard in a while. The song is very sample based, but the samples are of keys, horns, harps, etc which makes for a really great sound all over a nice beat with some incomprehensible vocals thrown in to complete the circle. This track is from their upcoming album things.yes out this November. Hopefully we get to hear a little more from them before that.

[Club Banger] Swanky Tunes & Hard Rock Sofa – I Wanna Be Your Dog

The Russian trio of Swanky Tunes have teamed up with fellow Russian project Hard Rock Sofa in creating one of the biggest club bangers of 2011. It’s steadily climbing the beatport charts and I’m hoping it goes right the way to the top. Bringing SO much umph in the drop it’s hard not to crank it up and turn your room into a mini rave.

[FRESH] Laidback Luke vs Example – Natural Disaster (Skream Remix)

Woah. Fresh off the press today is a new remix from Croydon boy Skream. Shoving in some hefty bass tones into Laidback Luke‘s collab with Example on their summer hit ‘Natural Disaster’, the dubstep titan has shown he’s still pushing and evolving his sound. Laidback luke has just signed to Ministry Of Sound and already it seems to be having a positive impact. Exciting times ahead for the DJ and there’s more remixes on the way from Benny Benassi, Nouvean Yorican and Andy C but if you’re a fan of Skream, you’re going to love this!

[Dubstep] Dodge & Fuski – Sick

Get excited Music Ninjas, up and coming UK dubstep duo Dodge & Fuski is about to rock your world with some of the sickest bangers you’ve ever heard. They bring a complex and layered style to the table, with fast, danceable Drum & Bass beats, creative synth melodies, and fat bass that will knock you on your ass. They recently released a free download called Sick off their EP of the same name, due for release on Beatport on September 12th. And while the track stays true to its name, I highly recommend checking out their complete set on Soundcloud. Each track features a mind blowing combination of electric guitar, drum beats, organ riffs, lasers and catchy synths combined into a sound that is completely original and can easily stand up to some of the biggest names in the genre today. This duo might just join the ranks of Caspa & Rusko and Excision & Datsik as a heavyweight duo in modern dubstep.

[Electro] James Egbert – Blackhawk EP

We’ve been posting quite a bit of notable music from Denver lately, and it looks like we’re going to continue to do so. Denver has an flourishing electronica scene, and this young producer is only making it grow faster. James Egbert recently released his four track EP, Blackhawk with Fuzion Musik. On top of a really stellar EP, he’ll also be performing at the Fox in Boulder, Colorado with Zedd on August 31st.

The track below was our favorite, but all four are definitely worth checking out. He has a very glitchy style that is similar to Feed Me or Porter Robinson at times, but his best talent lies in his melodic synth, epic build-ups, and ability to switch from beautiful house to jarring electro instantaneously. [Electro] Pretty Lights Vs Led Zeplin

Derek Vincent Smith aka Pretty Lights, is definitely one of those genius & versatile producers that create mixes and sounds you never thought were possible. Not only has the Colorado legend had a pretty full on tour festival (Bonnaroo, Hangout Music Festival, Electric Forest, Lollapalooza, and IDentity Festival +more)  - he’s somehow found the time to mix 7 Zeppelin songs into his own beats and synths, resulting in a pretty mammoth mashup of sounds! This one may leave you dazed and confused

[Indie] Kathryn Calder – Who Are You?

You might not know the name, but you most likely know the sound. Kathryn Calder is a member of The New Pornographers, and has an absolutely beautiful voice as well as a talent for writing catchy lyrics. “Who Are You” is featured on her second solo album, titled Bright And Vivid which is due on October 25th via File Under: Music. If this is any indication of what her album will be like, Indie lovers have something great to look forward to.
