[Hip-Hop] Azad Right – When You Know (Prod. IAMNOBODI)

Azad Right
When You Know (Prod. by IAMNOBODI)

LA emcee, Azad Right, has been building significant buzz over the last few months since the October release of his impressive For the Hopeful project. Keeping the momentum going, he dropped off a soulful gem earlier today titled “When You Know.” Over some irresistibly smooth production provided by Soulection‘s IAMNOBODI, Right tells a vivid love story about a pursuit that doesn’t quite work out using a flawless delivery to paint a relatable picture. Even with its slightly somber undertones, this track has a calming, laid-back vibe perfect for play in a wide range of atmospheres. Give this one a listen and grab a free download above.

The XX – Intro (Azad Right Freestyle) [Hip/hop]

Hip/hop was conceived as an emotional genre. The core of every rap and every rhyme prior to its acceptance into mainstream music was about portraying some sense of vulnerability. Through honest unfiltered poetry, hip/hop artist are able to express their observations about the communities around them, the trouble in their lives and the aspiration for a better tomorrow. These core principles are still present today but within the race of becoming the next big club hit, the substance in every word expressed has faded away. Los Angeles based emcee Azad Right is no stranger to the struggles of the grind required to make it in this business but through his genuine thought-out verses he makes it seem so easy. Rhyming over one of the most popular indie tracks of all time might not be original but with a flawless execution, Azad Right pulls off a freestyle that makes you take notice. We have heard countless remixes and mixtapes using The Xx’s “Intro” throughout the many months it has been released yet Azad is one of the few artists that gives it justice.

[Hip Hop] Azad Right – Growing Apart ft. AHE & Jhene Aiko

A week or two ago, we introduced Better Days, a painfully honest track from up-and-coming Los Angeles based emcee Azad Right. Today, he dropped Growing Apart, which uses a sample from fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.

First and foremost: Azad was a stranger to me before I heard Better Days earlier this month, but I feel like I’ve learned more and more about this dude every day since. One reason being is that Azad doesn’t hide his true feelings or emotions in his music, something lost in today’s hip-hop. From life, love, heartbreak and all the way back, he puts it all on the line.

Download it, play it, share it, do something with it. And – follow Azad on Twitter to get all his latest music and show information at @AzadRight.
