[NEW] Rich Homie Quan – Tell Me Why (Feat. Drake) + Rich Gang – Tha Tour Part 2

’Rich Homie Quan
Tell Me Why (Feat. Drake)’

When Birdman first recruited Rich Homie Quan & Young Thug to be a part of Rich Gang, it seemed like a natural fit as Quan and Thugger were already two of the more prominent rising faces at the forefront of the ATL rap scene. Now, the group has plans for a sequel to their successful mixtape, Tha Tour Part 1. Though we have no concrete release date for the project, it seems as if most–if not all–the tracks have now surfaced online. Featuring guest spots from Drake, Fabolous, Ty Dolla $ign and Dej Loaf, the star studded follow-up seems poised to build upon where the last left off. Regardless of where the tracks are from, this should be enough to power you through your New Year’s Celebrations. Check out the Drizzy assisted single above, and stream the rest of the tracks after the jump. Continue reading

[Hip-Hop] Ace Hood – Bugatti (Remix) (Feat. Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Meek Mill, French Montana, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled & Birdman)

Ace Hood
Bugatti (Remix) (Feat. Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Meek Mill, French Montana, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled & Birdman)

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you wake up and have trouble remembering the events that transpired the night before? Then, as you examine your surroundings, you realize you’re sitting in a brand new Bugatti? Yeah, good times. If you haven’t ever had the pleasure of such an experience (and if that’s the case, what’s wrong with you?), we’ve got a few fellas here who’d love to describe what it feels like. Featuring the likes of Meek Mill, T.I., Wiz Khalifa, Birdman, French Montana, 2 Chainz, Future and of course, DJ Khaled, the star studded remix to Ace Hood‘s hit single “Bugatti” goes even harder than the original. The first half of the song is particularly strong, with energetic verses from Ace, Meek and Tip, while the second half starts to fall flat. In the end though, we’re left with a new heater from Ace Hood, and that’s all that matters. Grab the free download for yourself above, and stay tuned for Ace’s upcoming album, Trials & Tribulations which is set for release on July 16th.

[LIST] Hip-Hop Cash Kings: The Richest Rappers

Forbes recently released a list of 2012’s hip-hop “Cash Kings,” ranking the rap world’s top earners. Snagging the #1 spot was Dr. Dre, who wrangled up a whopping $110 million — half of which can be attributed to his Beats by Dre headphone brand. The West Coast producer and emcee was joined by #2 Diddy (buoyed by his Ciroc vodka), #3 Jay-Z (his money raked in from number of places, like the Brooklyn Nets) and #4 Kanye (reaping much of the benefits from Watch The Throne). Eminem, who hasn’t exactly been a popular face for corporate endorsements and sponsorships, still placed at #9, bolstered by his music, selling more albums in the last 10 years than any artist. What are your thoughts, ninjas?

1. Dr. Dre – $110 million
2. Diddy – $45 million
3. Jay-Z – $38 million
4. Kanye West – $35 million
5. Lil Wayne – $27 million
6. Drake – $20.5 million
7. Birdman – $20 million
8. Nicki Minaj – $15.5 million
9. Eminem – $15 million
10. Ludacris – $12 million

[Hip-Hop] Lil Wayne – Dedication 4 (Mixtape)

The NOLA-bred Lil Wayne has had quite the absurd and entertaining career path. The Young Money boss known for his wordplay and ridiculous punchlines, is a prolific veteran who has released countless projects, ranging in quality from classic to barely mediocre. Regardless, hip-hop fans will forever keep at least one Weezy project in their regular rotation and, for me, Dedication 3was definitely that tape. Since then, he has put out plenty of solid music and continued to sell records when most artists can’t all the while pursuing a new hobby in skateboarding. It is hard to know what to expect from Dedication 4, but if it is anything like its predecessor it will certainly be getting lots of  airtime among his fans. Stream this anticipated project after the jump and download the whole thing for free here: Lil Wayne – Dedication 4.

Stream/Review: Drake – Take Care

Our friend Anthony from the Needledrop created a video review for Drake’s new album Take Care, released today. We really couldn’t have said it better ourselves. The new album does provide big improvements from its previous release but it still leaves you overdosed on Drake, with over 80 long minutes of him. Some collaboration and features do give the album greater dynamics but unfortunately they also add a lot of filler. A clearly softer album showing his sensitive side, but many times things take a turn for the corny side. Either way a great video review to watch for anyone interested in the album.
