Firebeatz absolutely murders this remix of Calvin Harris and Ayah Maar‘s track “Thinking About You”. This track first caught my attention when hearing in a recent Knife Party set, and it’s nothing short of amazing. At first I couldn’t figure out what was more surprising; the fact that Knife Party played a Calvin Harris song, or the fact that it was legendary. None the less this song gives summer some more life, and is sure to hit every festival soon enough. Cheers.

That’s what we get today in the new visuals for Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding‘s awesome collaborative track, “I Need Your Love”. The two aren’t dating, but they sure know how to sell it with all the cuddling and kissing. Watch ’em vacation and travel the world together.

The single is off Harris’ own 18 Months LP and available as a bonus cut on Goulding’s Halcyon.

We posted a radio rip of this massive tune about a month ago, it was first played on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. The subtle but flawless edit to the original melody is nothing short of amazing, having Diplo and Grandtheft on a track together is just madness. Cheers.

Philadelphia based genius Diplo drops a massive remix of Calvin Harris and Florence Welch‘s anthem “Sweet Nothing”. He reworks the original melody with a subtle but infectious edit, that allows you to fall in love with this tune all over again. The vocal work is nothing short of amazing with Diplo tweaking and chopping all the best parts of Florence’s sexy voice. This is a rip from Annie Mac Show on BBC Radio 1, no news on the release date. Calvin Harris + Florence Welch + Dirtyloud = no comment. The original track “Sweet Nothing” is a house anthem, and Dirtyloud transforms it into a mind altering Dubstep thrill ride. Starting off with some grimey Dub and fierce drums that build into Florence’s amazing vocals. Then sampling a little bit from the original before smacking you in the face with un-called for insane wobbles. Find biggest speakers possible please, this is quite the banger. Cheers.

Calvin Harris – I Need Your Love (feat. Ellie Goulding)

Last two weeks have been release after release for Ellie Goulding, as we approach the release of her forthcoming album Halcyon on October 9th. Teaming up with prolific electronic producer Calvin Harris, the two collaborate on a high energy track that although contains very strong and catchy melodies, it does takes some getting used to. Ellie’s vocals mixed with such an aggressive dancy bassline is a departure from what we have seen producers do with her vocals, primarily using them with slow and grinding dubstep. We admit, Ellie is good enough to sound amazing no matter the circumstances and Calvin is well capable of producing the some of the best electronic experiences, yet most of the production feels a bit forced (primarily after the drops). Nevertheless it is a track that will be well played and hopefully give more exposure to these two amazing artists. Let us know what you think below.
