Yes you read correctly, this is Florence minus The Machine and Calvin Harris on the same track. Who said summer was over, because I’m pretty sure these two had other plans. They deliver quite possibly my favorite track from Calvin Harris ever, and with an unexpected collab. Featuring an infectious melody that mixes perfectly with the empowering vocals of Florence Welch. This chick has got it all featuring a wide range of vocal work that is sure to get stuck in your head upon first listen. I have a feeling that when Calvin remixed Florence’s track “Spectrum”, they realized the collab had to happen again. Not much more to be said about this incredible anthem, so just enjoy the rest of the weekend and rage to this. Cheers.

“Sweet Nothing” only premiered yesterday on BBC Radio 1, but it’s already making waves around the world. UK favorite Calvin Harris collabs on another catchy tune with Florence Welch (of Florence + The Machine), and the result is such a sweet something.

A funky bassline begins the song, before transitioning back into the area of House/Electro-pop that made Calvin Harris famous, all topped off with Florence’s vocals throughout the track. Not only a song that juxtaposes love against melancholy, a deep want for something from nothing, “Sweet Nothing” is also a song that stays in the moment, a song that reiterates and conveys the needs of going out and dancing to forget your troubles. Harris’ melodies enhance the lyrics by communicating the mixed emotions and nuances that the vocals alone can’t do. This song is going to be all over radios and in clubs, so listen to it here!

Quite possibly the best tracks from Florence + The Machine‘s new album Ceremonials, ‘Spectrum’ gets a bouncy face-lift from beloved superstar producer Calvin Harris. Being die hard fans of Florence + The Machine ourselves, we were skeptical of a dance remix ruining the powerful essence of the original. Calvin Harris manipulates vocals over a less pronounce house bassline ultimately serving its justice. Listen below and tell us what you think?

You know us by now. We rarely post pop songs, unless they’re in the form of a mash-up or remix. Well, that’s the case here. Mash-up artist Mashup-Germany has produced this nice little track that highlights some of the top songs of 2011. What we liked about this was the inclusion of some electronica, including one of our favorite tracks from this year, “Levels” by Avicii.

A match made in EDM heaven. You have the delicate and beautiful symphonic melodies of Calvin Harris’ Feel So Close and the devastating bass frequency stretches of dubstep duo Nero. The result is a child that plays loud and does not care in the slightest about the neighbors. This is the kind of track that crosses between genres and djs, I wouldnt be surprised if even Tiesto drops this on his set just to freak out some of the hardcore house fans.
