[Hip-Hop] e-dubble – Two Steps From Disaster

Although e-dubble‘s newest single is all about living life on the edge, don’t mistake it for your average party track.  The song keeps an uptempo vibe throughout, but once you dig deeper into the lyrics, you’ll realize there’s much more beneath the surface.  While on one hand e-dubble relishes his current success as a rapper, he knows that he needs to keep his eyes glued to the future and the road ahead.  This leads to such diverse topics as debauchery in Ibiza to the upcoming presidential election, which makes for an interesting concoction overall.  If you’re feeling this one, don’t forget to head over to iTunes to show your support.  Also make sure to pre-order e-dubble’s upcoming Reset EP, coming soon.

[Hip-Hop] iSH – Demons (THR3MIX) Feat. e-dubble

If any indie release of the last year was primed for a rap remix, it was Sleigh Bells‘ “Demons.” With blaring drums, explosive guitar riffs, and fervent hollering throughout, it would take a powerful emcee to match the feverish intensity of the original track. Well, we think we’ve finally found a good candidate on our hands in Toronto’s own, iSH. Opting to go with the slightly more subtle Diplo remix of the song, iSH and Philly’s e-dubble manage to complete the tough task of absolutely tearing this beat to shreds. Plus, any time you can talk trash about your wookie is truly a win in my book.

This release is the just the first in an excellent series of “THR3MIXES” by iSH.  Catch the full set below, along with some free download links.

[Hip/Hop] e-dubble – Changed My Mind

e-dubble is one of those artist that really connect with music bloggers, not only for his talent but for the amount of work he puts on each of his songs and freestyles (even given out shot-outs to his favorite sites). His latest track, Change my mind is the result of all ts he energy and hours of self exploration that lead him to this moment. There is a clear focus for his sound and style and the raw emotion he pours in the song alone definitely shows us he is more determined than ever. Change of Mind will set the tone for e-dubble in 2011 and things to come.

[Hip/Hop Horray] E-dubble Freestyle Fridays

Though not the first artist to take the track of free styling over a Glitchmob beat, E-dubble demonstrates his capacities as a rapper, tweaking the track, while accentuating the intensity that made the track unique in the first place. His aggressive style gives Animus Vox a drastic facelift, turning it into a heavy Hip-hop banger, reminiscent of other artists such as King Fantastic and The Girls Can Hear Us.

’Automatic’

Forgetting the synths of Animus Vox, E-dubble decides to take a much calmer route on this one. With a soulful beat, calming piano and E-dubble’s smooth voice “Get on Board” creates a charge of positive energy that is difficult to ignore. Through this dubble feature (excuse the obvious pun) the versatility of E-dubble is easy to see, laying down his vocals on anything from electro to gospel
