[NEW] SBTRKT – New Dorp, New York (feat. Ezra Koenig)

SBTRKT
New Dorp, New York feat. Ezra Koenig

Since the release of his self-titled debut album in 2011, SBTRKT‘s follow-up project has consistently been one of the most anticipated records in music. Today, almost exactly three years later, the acclaimed UK producer finally let loose the first single from the long-awaited project. “New Dorp, New York” departs from the lush synths and drum ‘n bass percussion fans have become accustomed to in favor of a far more avant-garde feel. With some help from Ezra Koenig, of Vampire Weekend, SBTRKT creates a sort of tribal groove continuing his experimentation and combination of sounds. Give this one a spin above and rejoice that SBTRKT’s sophomore effort, Wonder Where We Land, is on the way.

NEW: Major Lazer ft. Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend) – Jessica

Major Lazer, the genre bending outfit lead by Diplo had set to release upcoming album, Free the Universe in February but then later postponed to a possibly April 15th release. However, that still hasn’t discouraged Diplo for giving the world another preview of what is to come. Joined by the wholesome vocals of Vampire Weekend’s Erza, BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac premiered the hazy and reggae inspired track “Jessica” over the weekend.

Also, Vampire Weekend is set to release a new album later this year May 7 titled Modern Vampires of the City via XL Recordings.
