[Hip-Hop] Closed Sessions Vol. 2 (Mixtape)

Just like they did with Closed Sessions Vol. 1, SoundScape Studios teams up with RubyHornet.com to provide us with some sweet unreleased music recorded in their Chicago studios. The project includes local artists like Sir Michael Rocks, GLC, L.E.P. Bogus Boys, and Rockie Fresh, as well as some other prominent names like Raekwon, Action Bronson, Freddie Gibbs, Blu, CyHi The Prynce and many many more. You can catch a few samples down below, but make sure to grab the full project over at the Ruby Hornet SoundCloud page. [Indie] Cults ft. Freddie Gibbs – Bad Things (Remix)

20111118-001612.jpg

Indie darlings Cults have collaborated with rap star Freddie Gibbs to remix their album with a hip-hop twist. ‘Bad Things’ is a taste of just how good this project could be. Combining hard and heavy beats with Madeline Follin’s ethereal vocals makes for a delicious contrast. The synth riff on ‘Bad Things’ is incredibly infectious, and like everything else the band has released, will root itself in your brain for days on end.
