[NEW] The Weeknd – Kiss Land & John Carpenter

’The Weeknd – Kiss Land’
’French Montana – Gifted feat. The Weeknd’

The Weeknd gives us a 2 for 1 special today with the premiere of new material from his upcoming Universal debut, Kiss Land. Along with the album’s title track, fans are also treated to the full version of “John Carpenter,” another new song that was previewed earlier this week. For the first half, Abel takes us on a haunting voyage to a creepy location known as “Kiss Land,” complete with cliché horror movie screams. Around the three minute mark, the track segues over to the equally ominous “John Carpenter,” which is sure to please longtime fans of The Weeknd. While Kiss Land has no set release date yet, we look forward to its release later this year. As an added bonus, we’ve also included “Gifted,” a recent collaboration between The Weeknd and French Montana.

Ace Hood
Bugatti (Remix) (Feat. Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Meek Mill, French Montana, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled & Birdman)

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you wake up and have trouble remembering the events that transpired the night before? Then, as you examine your surroundings, you realize you’re sitting in a brand new Bugatti? Yeah, good times. If you haven’t ever had the pleasure of such an experience (and if that’s the case, what’s wrong with you?), we’ve got a few fellas here who’d love to describe what it feels like. Featuring the likes of Meek Mill, T.I., Wiz Khalifa, Birdman, French Montana, 2 Chainz, Future and of course, DJ Khaled, the star studded remix to Ace Hood‘s hit single “Bugatti” goes even harder than the original. The first half of the song is particularly strong, with energetic verses from Ace, Meek and Tip, while the second half starts to fall flat. In the end though, we’re left with a new heater from Ace Hood, and that’s all that matters. Grab the free download for yourself above, and stay tuned for Ace’s upcoming album, Trials & Tribulations which is set for release on July 16th.

[Hip-Hop] French Montana – Freaks ft Nicki Minaj

This past year, French Montana found success in the game with his infectious single “Pop That”. Now fresh off his success, he is back with a new dance-hall infused track for the twerkers and dancers this spring and summer. The Rico Love produced banger samples Chaka Demus & Pliers “Murder She Wrote” and the classic Li’L Vicious and Doug E. Fresh “Freaks”. Mixing the two classic tracks with a fast-tempo beat, fog horns, and a quick verse from the femcee Nicki Minaj, Montana captures the island vibe and brings it to the dancefloor. “Freaks” is the second banger off his upcoming Bad Boy debut Excuse My French, dropping May 21.

[Hip-Hop] Rick Ross – Hold Me Back (Remix) Feat. Gunplay, French Montana, Yo Gotti & Lil Wayne

Rick Ross does not hold back on the remix to his smash-hit, “Hold Me Back,” bringing out frequent collaborators Lil Wayne, French Montana, Gunplay and Yo Gotti. The timing of the release could not be more appropriate, as President Obama has just been re-elected as the leader of this great nation for four more years. One has to think that Rozay secretly handed him an advance copy just so he could use this as his anthem while popping champagne during tonight’s festivities (at least that’s how I’d like to think the president parties).

[Hip-Hop] Harry Fraud – Mean (ft. French Montana & Action Bronson)

Although you will never ever catch this ninja riding around in a Scion, I must admit that they are on top of it with their enlistment of up ‘n coming artists. Their collaboration with Danny Brown on “Grown Up” still stands as one of my favorite tracks of his. This time around, they recruit the seemingly omnipresent emerging New York based producer Harry Fraud to create a characteristically laid back instrumental with fellow NYC-bred French Montana (who actually spent the first thirteen years of his life in Morocco) and TMN favorite Action Bronson hopping on the mic.

On “Mean,” Montana kicks things off with his “Stay Schemin”-esque gangster crooning paving the way for the always lyrically creative and comic Action Bronson whose verse proves fitting for the song title. Stream the track below and head over to the Scion A/V site for a free download of both the track and its chill, east-coast instrumental.

[Hip-Hop] DJ Khaled – They Ready Feat. J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T. & Kendrick Lamar (Prod. J. Cole)

While the last DJ Khaled song focused on hip-hop’s past and the careers of two of its most celebrated artists, this one’s premise is set squarely on the future.  The aptly named “They Ready” features arguably the three best up and coming names in hip-hop: J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., and Kendrick Lamar.  The song is produced by J. Cole himself and features all three of the young emcees stepping up to the mic and delivering their bars in double time, producing enough energy to power at least two small villages for weeks.  It’s safe to say this is pretty unique for a DJ Khaled track, and it actually had me excited for the direction of his latest album, Kiss The Ring.  Unfortunately though, this song is probably the exception, and not the rule.  Still, this has the potential to be one of his most potent compilations to date.

Look for Kiss The Ring in stores August 21st, and make sure to take a listen to two other recently released tracks from the album down below.
