[Future] Louis Futon – Louis Futon EP

Louis Futon may have recently disbanded as a duo, but that hasn’t hindered the quality of music stemming from this fantastic project. Tyler Minford has taken control and pushed onward through a sea of largely successful remixes in the recent past, which have paved the way for his genre destroying self titled EP. Each track lives in its own dimension, and the progression throughout is comparable to a galactic journey through sound. Spacey synths, immense drums, and a grandiose presence have become staples in the development of Louis Futon’s sound, but he still continues to conquer uncharted territory with ease. These four new originals are also supplemented by a trio of star studded remixes, courtesy of Tjani, Kill Paris and Kasbo, so it’s safe to say that this project covers a lot of ground and has a little bit of everything for all you forward thinking fans out there. [Future] Just A Gent ft. R O Z E S – Limelight (Louis Futon Remix)

Just A Gent
Limelight (Louis Futon Remix) [Free Download]

Just A Gent is enough of a powerhouse on his own when it comes to his music, but when you add Louis Futon to the mix, something special is BOUND to happen. Surely enough, it did. Louis Futon takes “Limelight” into another stratosphere, pulling back the reigns on JAG’s blistering and wildly addicting “Lovestep” sound and crafts a slick remix with his smooth, hip-hop influenced futuristic sound.

Louis Futon is notorious for transforming on every release; reimagining everything from Mos Def to Kill Paris, while simultaneously bringing heat through his own originals. The build ups are deceptive on this newest remix, since the drops come in tough but crisp upon delivery and resolve nicely as the tune progresses. R O Z E S delicate vocals are preserved throughout, which is a key element and wrap everything up together into a nice present for the middle of your week.

[Future Rap] Louis Futon x A-1 – Parasail

Louis Futon x A-1
Parasail [Free Download]

Philly production duo Louis Futon drop a heavy hitter today with “Parasail,” a sharp but quick ditty that works in some of that futuristic bounce. The guys recruit Bay Area-based rapper A-1 to spit lyrics on a jungle-meets-space beat, resulting in a collaborative piece that is larger than life.

A-1’s vocals are crisp yet calculated, but manage to work marvelously with the complex composition of “Parasail,” a track that is brimming with bass. While A-1’s flow manages to command attention, the track’s real breadwinner is the sweet, sweet beat with its fresh syncopations and hefty percussions. “Parasail” is available for a free download by heading to Louis Futon’s Facebook.

We Dem Boyz (Louis Futon Remix)

Philly based duo Louis Futon was given the opportunity to be the only official remix of Wiz Khalifa’s “We Dem Boyz”, and they absolutely killed it. Fusing future bass sounds with hip-hop, this duo makes us realize they’re not messing around. With comments like “This is probably the best creation since the television”, and five comments from Lippy Lemur, you know this is a heater. There are some comments trying to flame Louis Futon, and their remix, but we think their ears are broken. This remix is the perfect track for our American listeners who are still celebrating 4th of July, because “We Dem Boyz”. Hope you Ninjas had a great holiday, and have an awesome week ahead of you!
