[Epic] Chris Loco ft. Raye – Ego

Chris Loco
Ego feat. Raye

You ever listen to a song and instantly go “woah this is amazing”? For us, this is one of those tracks. London-based producer Chris Loco has teamed up with singer/songwriter Raye for this epic track titled “Ego”, and it’s jaw-droppingly beautiful.

The slow and suspenseful trap beat is paired with Raye’s powerful vocals, which echoes throughout the whole song to create an ominous yet dramatic effect. A series of horn stabs and eerie distorted synths are used to further bring out the story behind the cinematic approach of the track. It’s almost like watching a movie that’s so good you feel like you’re living it.

The good news is that the official music video is coming out sooner than you think (shhh), and “Ego” is going to be one of four tracks under Loco’s upcoming See No Evil EP, set to be released this fall. We can’t wait for more dope songs/teasers to come from the mysterious producer.

[Soul/R&B] Raye – Bet U Wish

I don’t even know where to start writing about this song.
Young London artist Raye is back with her single ‘Bet U Wish’, a heartwrenching song about cheating and the awful consequences for one night of infidelity. Raye has been on our radar since she came into a picture just a few months ago because she has a voice that resembles Rihanna, and lyrics that are older beyond her years but are exactly on point with each individual emotion sung. Raye knows how to sing a song that feels as if she is speaking to each listener individually who has gone through the emotional trenches just like her. Her ability to make you feel the song, especially the brokenness within this single, is consequently stunning. Make sure to check out her whole debut EP ‘Welcome To The Winter’ released a few days ago, I bet you wish you could hear more from her soon.

[New Artist] RAYE – Need Me

Before I introduce this artist let me tell you, she is only sixteen but sounds like she is in her twenties and has been writing/singing for quite a while. Truth is, London artist RAYE has been writing and singing music since she was ten years old. Her first release ever ‘Need Me’ has lyrics and feelings far beyond her young years. A seductive voice that entices listeners, RAYE has found a way to mix her strong vocals with the perfect touch of electronic melodies and rhythms. Pretty excited to hear what more this young artist will have in store for us as her career continues to blossom, keep an eye out for her.
