[Hip-Hop] Big K.R.I.T. – New Agenda (Feat. Rick Ross)

Big K.R.I.T. feat. Rick Ross
New Agenda (Prod. By Big K.R.I.T.)

Although Big K.R.I.T.‘s 2012 debut album Live From The Underground received widespread critical appraise, it never really made the commercial impact to help the Mississippi native breakthrough to the mainstream. After returning back to the underground and releasing his King Remembered In Time mixtape in 2013, it appears K.R.I.T. has finally reemerged with a “New Agenda” to seize the throne. Teaming up with Rick Ross on this bonafide Southern cooked banger, “New Agenda” serves as the first single from Cadillactica, K.R.I.T’s sophomore project, and helps kick off the “Week of K.R.I.T.” in which the artist plans to release seven new singles from today through Sunday.

Grab a free download of the single above, and stay tuned to hear what other gold K.R.I.T. has for us in the coming week.

[NEW] Rick Ross – In Vein (Feat. The Weeknd)

In Vein (Feat. The Weeknd)

A week prior to its release, it looks like Rick Ross‘ latest album has already sprung a leak. Earlier tonight, we shared with you one of the album’s most anticipated singles, “Sanctified.” This one right here though, might be the true highlight of the project. The Weeknd‘s been on quite a tear lately, dropping stellar remixes of “Drunk In Love” and “Or Nah” over the last two weeks. He continues his hot streak with “In Vein,” another drug-induced slow burner that delves into the crooner’s risqué lifestyle and features a chorus where he claims “I don’t got a single sober vein in my body.” We’d totally believe it, and while this is a Ross single, Abel definitely steals the show here (just as he always does). Check out the track below, and let us know what your thoughts are on Mastermind based on what you’ve heard so far. Maybe you’ll even be enticed to pre-order a copy for yourself. Feel free to stream the album on iTunes Radio yourself before deciding.

[NEW] Rick Ross – Sanctified (Feat. Kanye West & Rick Ross)

Sanctified (Feat. Kanye West & Big Sean)

It’s already been a busy week for hip-hop so far, but it only seems to be looking up from here. With Rick Ross‘ sixth studio album, Mastermind, set to drop next week, we’re getting an early listen of the most anticipated track from the project, “Sanctified.” Featuring G.O.O.D. Music’s Kanye West and Big Sean, “Sanctified” is a soulful banger, crafted through a combined effort between Yeezy and DJ Mustard. All three emcees trade bars interchangeably over an instrumental that features a few trademarks from both talented producers. While this is probably the first single to really move the needle for us on Ross’ latest album, there’s still some interesting collaborations yet to be heard featuring The Weeknd, Lil Wayne, Mavado, Scott Storch, and more. Check out the single above, and make sure to get your pre-orders in for Mastermind before it drops on March 4th.

[Hip-Hop] Rick Ross – The Devil Is A Lie (Feat. Jay Z)

Rick Ross
The Devil Is A Lie (Feat. Jay Z)

Despite whatever your feelings may be about Rick Ross and his MMG collective, you have to admit that he knows how to craft a hit, even if his recent efforts have fallen a bit short. Whenever Rozay and Hov team up though, we’re almost guaranteed a certified banger, and that’s exactly what we have with “The Devil Is A Lie.” This soulful trap joint features both emcees at their finest, with Ross deploying his verses with his usual swagger, and Jay Z adopting a flow that sounds eerily similar to Drake a la “Worst Behavior.”  The real winner here though is that instrumental from K.E. On The Track, and you can learn more about the process that went behind the track from the producer himself below.

[Remix] Big Sean – 10 2 10 (Feat. Rick Ross & Travi$ Scott)

Big Sean
10210 Remix Feat. Rick Ross & Travi$ Scott

It’s hard to deny that Big Sean is one of the hardest workers in the game. How else could you explain his steady ascent to the top of the charts over the last few years? Now Sean wants to share in the wealth, allowing a few friends–namely MMG’s Rick Ross and G.O.O.D. Music labelmate Travi$ Scott–to give his latest single a whole new spin. Given the hilarious (or offensive depending on your opinion) nature of the chorus you knew this track was in for a remix treatment. As one of his hardest hitting joints to date, Sean somehow finds a way to improve off the original, with Rozay and Scott sounding right at home over the pounding instrumental. Check out the single above, and make sure to grab yourself a free download. Hall of Fame is in stores now.
