[Freestyle] Slaughterhouse – Weight Scale

I Hate Pump It Up Though It’s My Only Hit…far from innocent, ya favorite rapper got a head nod/before he approaches check my temperament/I went sleepy hollow shit and got a CAT scan/go to Colorado right now and watch Batman.”

Even though Budden’s line of the Colorado shooting was a little premature, considering the incident happened less than a weekago, Slaughterhouse’s newly leaked single is a dope freestyle that shouldn’t be overlooked. Im not really one to brag or even get into freestyles but when this rap super-group dropped their new single “Weight Scale”, I couldn’t help but listen. After partnering with DJ Drama for the upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape, the quartet(Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Royce da 5’9, and Crooked I) spit sick bars over the slept on Nas “Nasty” instrumental. Although filled with plenty of flossin’ rap for this party track but the rappers do the beat justice and go hard verse after verse. Their upcoming Shady Records debut album Welcome to: Our House drops August 28th.

[Hip/Hop] Bun B – Stop Playin (feat. Royce da 5’9″ & Redman)

The Godfather of trill is back. Houston’s Bun B has dropped Stop Playin, a banger released in celebration of accumulating over 400,000 followers on Twitter (@BunBTrillOG). He also brought along hip-hop veterans Royce Da 5’9″ and Redman. The trio brings their A game to this one, killing rhymes over the simple beat and reminding you why they are all still on top of their hustle. Still no word on when Bun B will be releasing his next full-length project, but this slapper should give his devotees something to hold them over in the meantime.

[Hip/Hop] Bad Meets Evil – Fast Lane (Eminem & Royce Da 5’9)

Just a couple days after Eminem & Royce Da 5’9 revealed the coming collaborate release of Bad Meets Evil, they dropped the very first single ‘Fast Lane’. Coincidence that Fast Five was also released today?

They live up to the tracks name with machine gun speed rhymes and a marching throbbing basslines. It is a decent track but I am not completely in love with it just yet, I will have to see what else is in store for us when Bad Meets Evil to drops June 14th. What you guys think?
