[TMN Premiere] The Naked and Famous – In Rolling Waves (Strange Babes Cover)

If I say The Naked and Famous, that already is enough to get you excited right? Well of course it is. The wonderful Auckland group are releasing a deluxe version of In Rolling Waves today with pre-orders starting July 17th. In honor of that, N&F is letting you get a little taste of the remixes to come.

Another Auckland group, Strange Babes, covered In Rolling Waves with their own unique sound. A blend of Indie melodies with a hint of rock acoustics, the band makes this song roll along with a wave like feel. With some hippy like chimes that give the song an intoxicating taste, the melody takes us on a wavelength of divine interpretation of this invigorating piece.

Sit back and close your eyes, this is one psychedelic musical ride.

The Naked And Famous – I Kill Giants (Big Black Delta Remix) [TMN Premiere]

If you made it past the really long title, then you are going to enjoy yourself with this remix. Just twenty days ago I was watching The Naked And Famous on stage, live at ‘The Beacham’ in Orlando. I remember them playing “I Kill Giants”, and the crowd was ecstatic. Now we have an amazing remix, from Big Black Delta, to make you feel joyous as well. I really like how trippy things get during the bridge. Alisa Xayalith’s vocals always blow me away, especially with this interesting treatment Big Black Delta provided. If you’re looking for something to get you in the perfect mindset for the week ahead, then you came to the right place!

[Indie] The Naked and Famous – Hearts Like Ours

The Naked And Famous
Hearts Like Ours

As if taking three years to produce and release a new album wasn’t enough of a tease, the Auckland indie rockers intensified the anticipation from fans by posting an InstaVid to the preview of their new single “Hearts Like Ours”,  just one day before the debut of the full song.

Expect to replay this number successively. Particularly if you’ve been intoxicated by Alisa Xayalith‘s siren tone, as we have in the past. Their hit track, “Punching in a Dream” left quite the impression, having been featured in the influential video, Kony 2012. And we are sanguine about the upcoming release of the new album, which bears a most enticing tracklisting. Don’t believe us? See for yourself.

In Rolling Waves, September 16. Pre-order it now.
