Lost in the shuffle of excellent releases last week was this spectacular new single from Philly’s Chiddy Bang. “Heartbeat” is just the second song we’ve heard from Chiddy’s upcoming Baggage Claim mixtape so far. The track is instantly mesmerizing, with deep synths and pulsing percussion that blend together in harmony to produce the perfect electronic hip-hop soundscape for Chiddy to flex his rhymes over. Two Guyz also play a crucial part as well, breathing life into the song through an ethereal chorus. Although we haven’t heard much yet, judging from his history, we’d have to say Chiddy Bang has some big things planned for 2013, and we can’t wait to get our hands on the mixtape when it finally drops.
