[Compilation] Moving Castle Vol. 004

Moving Castle is back! There’s no denying the influence that this talented group has built, especially with their signature brand reaching some of the highest levels in electronic music (*cough* Skrillex *cough*). Their expansion in such a short time with four projects under their belt is inspiring to say the least, and this newest endeavor finds Moving Castle at a defining point within their rise. With each collection, there’s been an increase in the number of artists that contribute, and the scope of the overall sound they are envisioning flourishes alongside that fact.

The importance of diversification within music can never be overstated, and the inclusion of a myriad of unique upcoming producers, vocalists and beatsmiths has set up this stellar assortment to be their most ambitious project to date. From names new to the compilation series, like Treehaus, Catt Moop and Chet Porter, to founding members, Robokid, AOBeats and Manila Killa, Vol. 004 shines brightly with an all star roster, and the quality reflected throughout speaks volumes as to what Moving Castle is capable of achieving. We’ll go ahead and let the music doing the talking now, so stream the glossy and pristine new volume below. Be sure to grab your own free copy here also!

[Jersey Club] Zhu – Faded (Vices & Jailo Remix)

Zhu
Faded (Vices & Jailo Remix)

Has your interest “Faded” yet? Well, ours hasn’t even began to start. This Zhu track became such an anthem over this summer, and possibly hundreds of artists gave it their own spin. One genre the remixes seemed to lack was Jersey Club. We waited and waited until an artist made the perfect club remix, and it just never seemed to happen. Finally the moment we’ve all waited for has came, and it’s just perfect.

Vices has been one of our favorite acts for the past few months, and they just never disappoint. This go around, they teamed up with one of Netherland’s finest, Jailo. The Orlando duo and the Dutch producer some how found their hands on the stems of the track, and created what may be the best “Faded” remix yet. Sometimes we may all have a tendency to skip through tracks, but with this one you won’t.

The replay value on this remix is unreal. It is the musical value of Lay’s potato chips; you won’t be able to just play it once. The sample from Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools” is an extremely clever addition that we didn’t hear in any other “Faded” remixes.  As a whole, The Music Ninja doesn’t have enough thumbs on board to give this track – two just wouldn’t do the justice.

[Seductive] Moving Castle Vol. 002

Moving Castle just dropped their newest compilation, and it is going to break the internet, even more than the last one. With their OG members on it, and some newcomers, these ninjas aren’t playing. Not sure if we could really pick a favorite out of this new compilation, but two that really stuck out were Food Diaries, and Dave Luxe’s “Give Me Tonight”. If I had to say so myself, these boys, and girl, are going to be some of the biggest acts of their style very soon.

’Hunt for the Breeze – Transmission Loop’
’AObeats x Manila Killa x Vices – Food Diaries’
’Dave Luxe – Give Me Tonight’
’WRLD – Rapids’
’Robokid x Ba
kuura – Pegasus’
’Dugong Jr – In Love’
’Jailo & Kappa Kavi – Quickie’
’Strehlow – Kyo Ft. Mark Johns’

IVARR & Vices
Hammertime [FREE DOWNLOAD]

IVARR and Vices team up to bring you “Hammertime”, which samples vocals from Clipse and MC Hammer. They have combined club and trap in a very unique way, which we are exited to see more of. Both IVARR and Vices are familiar faces to The Music Ninja, so we’re pretty stoked to share this. Especially excited because I was blessed with the opportunity to sit in on some production sessions for “Hammertime”. You could say the anticipation was killing me to post this, but no anticipation is killing me like the Vices colab with DJ Esentrik. We hope you enjoy “Hammertime” as much as we do, and to show your support, a follow on IVARR & Vices‘ SoundCloud would mean the world to them!

Overnight Celebrity Ft. Kanye West (Vices & Big Makk Remix)

We’re ecstatic to bring you the first taste of Vices‘ and Big Makk‘s remix of “Overnight Celebrity”! They take the original by Twista, which also features Kanye West, and spin it into a Jersey Club anthem. This remix doesn’t come short to any other Jersey Club tune we’ve heard. With chopped vocals, the standard drum beat, and even a trap break, this remix won’t disappoint. If you’re just now getting into club music and have no clue what designates this as Jersey Club, we featured another Vices remix earlier this month with a brief rundown explaining it. If you’re looking to “play something these pros will like” or trying to find as many free downloads to fill up your library, this remix by Vices and Big Makk is exactly what you’ve been searching for!

[Jersey Club] Liz – Y2K (Vices Remix)

Liz
Y2K (Vices Remix)

I’m sure you’re all aware that Jersey Club is the next best thing since kung-fu and karate, but are you completely familiar with Vices yet? If you aren’t completely familiar of this duo, then now is the time to soak it all in through musical osmosis! The water drop samples will surely help in the process on Vices’ remix of Y2K!

Vices is a Jersey Club duo which is oddly located out of Orlando. You may be wondering “wouldn’t that make Vices ‘Orlando Club’ or am I tripping?'” The answer to your question is yes you’re tripping, and no this is Jersey Club! Typically Jersey Club consists of a unique four to the floor drum style with a bit of swing on the kick towards the end of the bar, and some mind blowing vocal chops. On this Y2K remix Vices takes things to the next level by combining the standard style for Jersey Club and adding detuned vocals in to the mix, some water droplets, a few very sexual moans and some pitched bed squeaks creating the biggest Jersey Club remix to drop this year!
