[Hip-Hop] Azad Right – Spiderwebs

In this day and age, quality, thoughtful hip hop is hard to come by. I have a hard time finding truly good tracks on the internet, because it is cluttered with garbage. I came across this track today by a guy, originally from Venice, named Azad Right, and I was beyond impressed. First of all, “Spiderwebs” samples Coldplay’s “Trouble” which is an immediate plus. In addition, the track features dreamy female vocals, and meaningful lyrics that have a message. Keep an eye out for this guy…

[Chilled] Inspired Flight – Wonderwall

Prepare to have your mind blown. If you haven’t heard of Inspired Flight, get to know them now. This duo, who hail from San Diego, habitually mix together hip-hop, downtempo, reggae, electronica, indie and dance, into some beautiful tracks. This remix is not just your standard Oasis “Wonderwall” cover (vocals by Ryan Adams). It incorporates multiple Radiohead songs as well as tracks by Bob Marley, Postal Service, Morcheeba, Simian, and Blur. Check out this track, and another one called “It’s The Chemicals” below.

[Dutch House/Hip-Hop] Kanye West & Jay-z vs. Benny Benassi – Paris Satisifaction (Chuckie Pass That Dutch Remix)

At Identity Fest, I thought that Chuckie’s set was by far the best. I don’t know if it was because I love dutch house, or because of his stage presence, but his act blew all other acts (including Avicii) out of the water. That being said, I just came across this phenomenal bootleg over the weekend, where Chuckie mixes Jay-Z and Kanye’s “Niggas In Paris” and Benni Benassi’s “Satisfaction”. The Dutch boy loves to incorporate rap into his sets, and I’m a big fan.

[Indie/Nu Disco] LIPS – Everything To Me (Christian Strobe Remix)

A little while back, TMN posted LIPS’ hazily beautiful track “Everything To Me”. Today, we present to you a rework by Christian Strobe. The Germain native gained a ton of popularity with his remix of M83’s “Midnight City”, and now hes back with killer take on another great original. Adding 80’s style electronic production and a nu disco feel, Strobe really hits the spot on this one.
