Bastille’s debut studio album Bad Blood, released on March of 2004, continues to expand in its reach and grandeur. The British group has been capturing the attention of the blogosphere well before the release of Bad Blood and it is singles like Pompeii, well constructed in emotion and production that have crossed over into mainstream radio.

Their music, and in my opinion the strong and warm vocals of singer-songwriter Dan Smith have gained them nominations in several categories at the 2014 Brit Awards airing Feb. 19 including Best British Album, Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Group. For a list of all the nominations as well is their odds of taking home the award you can go toSportsBettingDime.com.

Yet as perfect as the original track may be, it has fallen victim to countless remixes, many of which we have featured on The Music Ninja. However, there is one iteration of a remixed Pompeii that caught our attentions a few weeks back that we haven’t been able to shake off. American dj/producer Audien, infused an energetic amount of kicks and electronics to make for a warm summer anthem in the middle of this cold winter. Without compromising the original structure and emphasis on the infectious vocals from Dan Smith, Audien creates a superb experience that elevates Pompeii to new heights.

The video was shared on Audien’s social media presence, which we can only estimate that a release is imminent in the next few days. Enjoy
