Justin Phillips better known as Crywolf has teamed up with New Jersey super star Aylen to create a soothing new dubstep track titled “Silenced Pt. II”. Infused with angelic vocals over a backdrop of strong wobbles and flirtatious synths for a production full of substance. Even as Aylen currently experiments with Trap music, there is a certain delight on our behalf with another dubstep release. Crywolf who has been releasing fantastic remixes, most notably a rendition of Alt-j’s ‘Breezeblocks’ and The Knifes’s ‘You Make Me Like Charity’, are set to make this year even greater under the Always Never Records umbrella.

When the time for mega-producer(s) Major Lazer comes close for a new project, he usually drops some extra heat to keep his already high buzz consistent. Yesterday he took to the interwebs to grace fans for a new track “Watch out for this(Bumaye)”. Staying true to Lazer fashion, this cross between EDM and Dancehall pays off for an infectious, upbeat dance number. The dope duo brings in some collaborative help from Busy Signal, The Flexican, and FS Green to make a great listen for his upcoming LP Free the Universe and a free track if fans pre-order the album before it drops April 2nd.

Explosions (Gemini Remix)
There is definitely no shortage to a remix to an Ellie Goulding song. A string of remixes to multiple tracks off her debut album Halcyon have been floating around the clubs and interwebs for the past year. Although some are more necessary then others, each Dj/producer has added their own unique spin to Goulding’s unique voice. Taking on the “Explosions” single is newcomer Gemini with a dub-step re-vamp.
Although dubstep has been on a steady decline, Gemini takes a refreshing and pulsating spin to Goulding’s vocals. Bits of the original track can be heard throughout the 140 BPM range beat and airy melody, but quickly fades with the heart-pounding breakdowns and oscillating vibes.
You’ve seen some of the best talent the world has to offer. You’ve seen the interviews. You’ve gotten our super secret free ninja cover. Now it’s time to help Beta out. After about a 6 month hiatus Justin aka Crywolf is back with a mesmerizing Original tune. Crywolf was formally “Cry Wolf” and featured 2 guys, it’s now a one man show, but still delivering some next level tuneage. Collabing with Ianborg on this track titled “Oceans”, it also features Justin with some dreamy and empowering vocals. The intro starts off slow with some euphoric synth work mixed with heavy bass and an incredible melody. Then dropping into some hot and heavy wobbles with a sound design resembling Adventure Club or Seven Lions. Cheers.
Also be sure to stay tuned for Crywolf’s upcoming EP titled, Ghosts, that will drop in April on Le Castle Vania‘s Record Label, Always Never. I had the pleasure of listening to two of the tracks on the EP, and they were both nothing short of amazing. Expect big things to come in 2013 from Crywolf!
