Parisian beatmaker Dream Koala describes himself as an “18 years old dreamer,” so it’s no surprise to hear that he creates soft and gentle electro. What is surprising is the sheer amount of emotion Dream Koala can put in a song without any words. “We Can’t Be Friends” is a down-tempo slice of chill which emits pure raw emotion through every desolate guitar bend and echoing synth syncopation. It may only be August, but “We Can’t Be Friends” is definitely a contender for ‘Track of The Year’.
