Summers in New York City are full of free concerts and events, excuses to drink outdoors at all times of the day, and, whether or not you’re a student, a genuine wild & free feeling to roam the concrete jungle. However, and I’m sure I’m in the minority here, it is my least favorite season; the oppressive humidity here clings to you like that ex that’s borderline become a stalker. My favorite time of year is right now. There’s a wonderfully refreshing crispness in the air, the leaves are a kaleidoscope of autumnal hues and I’m allowed to wear sweatpants more often.

Enough about me. Los Angeles’ electro pop duo Poolside — who put out Pacific Standard Time, one of my favorite records of the last few months — have dropped a mixtape called Seasons Change to help celebrate this weatherly transition. It’s chill, melancholic and a bit funky at times, and it’s the perfect hour-long collection to throw on as you start stashing away those tanks and jorts and pulling out the flannel and grandpa sweaters.
