Last month we featured Los Angeles electronic artist Alek Fin, calling his single “Waiting Like A Wolf” frenetic yet so calming. The same can actually be said about his entire Mull EP, which came out just a few weeks ago. From start to finish it’s very ambient and lulling, but don’t mistake its quietness for monotony — there’s hardly ever a dull or uninspired moment. Its sensitive, warm aura is complemented nicely by the sprinkling of little quirky surprises that jump out at you briefly. The result is an exquisite four-track collection that you can really ease into, and one that paints a lovely and soft-colored sonic landscape.
