[Electronic] Chet Porter ft. Chelsea Cutler – Stay

Chet Porter - Stay

Anytime a new artist joins the Foreign Family Collective roster, we simply cannot contain our excitement. The new addition is none other than Chet Porter, the Canadian producer who we sat down with a while back to talk about the upbringing of his sound following his release of “Awakening”. Chet teamed up with singer Chelsea Cutler for “Stay”, the 11th installment by the collective behind duo Odesza. Incorporating a mellow and joyous melody with Chelsea’s dreamy vocals, Chet manages to create another unconventional track that utilizes the style of storytelling. The buildup leads to synth bursts that create an ecstatic vibe that resembles the sound of Porter Robinson. It’s definitely a potential anthem everyone could get familiar with.

Joining the likes of Jai Wolf, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Big Wild, Chet Porter deservedly belongs in the FFC fam. Make sure to catch him at a show near you as he’s going on a North American tour in fall. Trust us – you don’t want to miss out on one of the biggest up and coming artists of 2016. Peep the tour dates below and you can get tickets here!

Dyrisk & FlyBoy
Over You

Following the success of “Maze”, Italian producer FlyBoy keeps the ball rolling with the release of “Over You”. Teaming up with Norweigan singer/producer Dyrisk, FlyBoy combines the soulful vocals from Dyrisk with colorful production. The deep house arrangement brings out the infectious melody of the track, together with the synth progression that resembles the one in Petit Biscuit‘s “Sunset Lover”. The lyrics and guitar melodies offer a rather organic feel to the track, making this emotionally-driven tune the perfect track to get over hump day.

Out via Tipsy Records, “Over You” is just a sneak peek of what FlyBoy has in store for us. Stay tuned for more dance music from the young producer.

Talisman (feat. Lisa Alma)

Uppermost has always been a magician when it comes to chill music. The French producer is never afraid to experiment with new sounds while combining them with his own style. His previous New Moon EP was a classic example of that, as he provides us a series of funk/disco tracks with a little bit of indie vibe.

Uppermost’s new lead single, “Talisman” definitely reinforces a new direction for his sound. Featuring lovely vocals from Lisa Alma, this gem is a fusion of deep house elements with the producer’s signature dreamy furnish. It also lets us take a sneak peek into his upcoming Impact EP that’s going to be released April 22, which showcases Uppermost’s adaptation for the modern era dance music. We cannot wait to hear the rest of the EP, so stay tuned!

Drive (Clayjay Remix)

Clayjay has been on our radar for quite some time now. Following the success of “Deer Stared At Me”, the young producer is back at it again with a brand new remix of LOLAWOLF‘s “Drive”.

The original tune is stripped and sped up to suit a rather casual vibe. Zoe Kravitz from LOLAWOLF provides an infectious melody with her delightful vocals, which complements the joyous energy of the tune. The signature synth stabs and swift drums in the drop will get your adrenaline level tenfold, and it’s definitely something we haven’t seen from Clayjay before.

This gem shows just how versatile Clayjay’s music can be. His evolving sound is something we look forward to with every new release. Make sure to show some support and grab a free download if you dig the track!

Adding a fun and subtle beat to the original takes the tune up a couple notches while making it upbeat and the perfect evening treat. The synth chords go well with the original melody and help spice up the track a bit. If you appreciate Khai’s soothing vocals, this version will definitely do them justice. [Melodic House] Monogem – Gone (INSTRUM Remix)

Monogem
Gone (INSTRUM Remix)

Brooklyn-based producer INSTRUM has been one of our favorites for quite some time now. With this remix of Monogem‘s massive hit “Gone”,  he showcases his versatility  by rearranging it into a melodic dance track. With the addictive melody provided by singer Jen’s unique vocals, the deep house change-up definitely complements and takes it up a couple notches. Towards the end of the track, there’s also something we’ve never seen in his music before – a breakdown with a hip-hop inspired trap beat, which spices things up for us quite a bit.

INSTRUM’s production style is still evolving. Having millions of Soundcloud plays and a handful of #1 tracks on HypeM, it’s safe to say that sky is the limit for this talented producer. Make sure to grab a free download if you dig the track!
