[Electronic] Milk N Cookies – Tasty Beats, Eternal Spring Break

Milk N Cookies
Tasty Beats Vol. 3, Eternal Spring Break

SPRING BREAK FOREVER, Y’ALL. As the weather heats up across the country and the youths flock to the shores and poolside, the hour-long party mix season is at its peak. We’ve seen and posted a few golden ones over the past couple weeks, but we wanted to switch it up and showcase something a little different. In preparation for their debut EP due out very, very soon, the Milk N Cookies boys are at again with an electric, eclectic mix that will have you asking the DJ and the bartender for more. After the ethereal intro via our boy Jim Carrey, the twins preview one of their originals off the upcoming EP before jumping across all genres from Justin Bieber edits to Tove Lo anthems. It feels like college all over again, doesn’t it?

Howie Lee – Sink Like Titanic [TMN Premiere]

trapdoor records, howie lee, forward thinking, trap music, gangster, tupac, fart noises

Howie Lee, Bejing born and London educated, pursued a degree in sound art opposed to sound design, or audio engineering. He takes the meaning of “deep” to a gallery status. The jazzy time signatures on “Sink Like Titanic” create a groove that provoke more thought than rigid 4/4 time signatures.

[Chill] LostBoyCrow – HiyHiy (WATERBED Remix) [TMN Premiere]

Lostboycrow
HiyHiy (WATERBED Remix)

Not only is this track the latest and greatest premiere here on TMN, but it’s also both LostBoyCrow and Waterbed’s debuts on the site and the rest of catalogue finds themselves in good company with this release. LostBoyCrow comes to us from the warm streets of LA where it seems everyone has a dream, but not everyone has the talent or hustle to make it work. He’s only a few releases in but he’s proving himself to be an A&R’s dream come true with his unparalleled skills that will strike gold in today’s R&B market. WATERBED come to us with a Golden State of mind as well, and this certainly won’t be the last time we feature this dreamy duo either. It may be frozen east of the Rockies, but you can still warm up to anything on these two’s catalogue, we promise. As for the remix, it’s a knock out of the park. Airy, energetic, and a nice blend between indie pop & R&B, this track will make waves very soon.

[Chill] Above & Beyond – Sun & Moon (Deuxième Revisit)

Above & Beyond
Sun & Moon (Deuxième Revisit)

We use the term “chill” on TMN to describe everything from dubstep to Norah Jones covers. What we have for you today can be found elsewhere throughout the blogosphere as well as next to the definition of “chill” in your 2015 Merriam-Webster dictionary. I challenge you to have pants on by the time this tune ends, by your doing or someone else’s. “Sun & Moon” has been remixed and covered and mashed up to death in the electronic music world but nobody ever mentioned anything about jazz. Enter Deuxième aka the two most creative cats to come out of Connecticut in a minute aka the offspring of Duke Silver and Kenny G. Their spin on this is romantic, if not ethereal, and we are at a loss of words to truly put in words the type of way this has us feeling. Enjoy Ninjas and Ninjettes.

[Chill House] Chelsea Lankes – Down For Whatever (Sebastian Carter Remix)

Chelsea Lankes stormed the internet with her beautiful single “Down For Whatever”, and with radio buzz happening as well from KCRW, KXRN, and 98.7FM KYSR in Los Angeles, we think there is no better time than to continue the buzz online with some proper remixes. We recently shared her Carousel remix on the Mustic Ninja the other week, and today we have a new take on the record by Swiss born by-way-of-brighton producer, Sebastian Carter. Sebastian turns the record into his own deep house jam, injecting it with just the right amount of drums and melody to keep you moving on the dance floor.

Give it a spin and stay tuned for more from this pair.

[Experimental Hip-Hop] Conrad Clifton – Skyliight

Conrad Clifton
Skyliight

Not too much slips past our radar here, but somehow this dude Conrad Clifton almost made his way through the cracks. Having contributed on Eminem’s SHADYXV compilation for Yelawolf’s track “Down”, it’s a bit weird how low-key this Brooklyn-based producer is. After being heavily involved in hip-hop production, Conrad’s decided to give dance music a shot – we’re not mad about it.

Mad is actually the complete opposite of how this track makes us feel. In fact, if you’re feeling a bit disgruntled, this may be the perfect track for you. The spacey, atmospheric vibes on this tune will relieve those feelings of stress, and replace them with an uplifting energy.

Don’t get mad, get glad and grab the free download of “Skyliight.”
