Seaside (Turtle Rework)
Earlier this month, a fusion of dream-folk and calming electronica came together via a budding young artist named Haux. His debut EP, All We’ve Known, is a 6-track collection of delightfully transient, wandering, and simply encapsulating work, highlighted by positively stunning vocals. One of our favorite stand-outs, “Seaside,” recently got a proper remix treatment from the oft-mysterious Turtle.
Turtle’s Rework features a wonderfully long build up that slowly layers in elements, creating a gorgeously-crafted ambient soundscape. From fluttering synths, to deep bass hits, to the eventual incorporation of subdued percussion, each accentuates Haux’s glowing vocals with a gradual, textural, and enveloping manner. All that’s left to do is close your eyes, lie back, and get lost for a few blissful minutes.
