Jarred A.G. has been featured pretty heavily on our pages since dropping his Luxury Tax EP last spring, however we’ve experienced some radio silence from the Chitown up-and-comer over the previous few months. That’s mostly because the talented young emcee has been buried in the studio, cooking up fresh material for his debut LP, Canvas. Finally returning with some new heat in the form of “Errands,” Jarred is primed to take the game by storm as he prepares for his showcase at SXSW later this month alongside such names as ShowYouSuck, Denzel Curry and Lil Bibby. Produced by another revered name on the Chicago hip-hop scene, BoatHouse, “Errands” is a hauntingly poignant single with biting lyrics and an addicting hook that’ll ensure at least a couple repeat listens. While this particular cut won’t be featured on Canvas, it’s a good primer of what to expect from the hungry wordsmith.
