Sometimes a tune just has that innate ability to lift you right out of a funk and into a place of absolute enjoyment. Such was the case this morning when “Thinking About It” by Just Kiddin rolled across our desks and into our house monitors at the TMN office today. Though we’d already heard this one multiple times via The Magician’s 41st Magic Tape, we were all finally gifted with its official unveiling over the weekend and couldn’t have been happier. Just Kiddin’s employed production techniques are impressive to say the least with an immediate tinny clap, and loopy pad work setting the stage for one of this writer’s favorite dance vocals this entire year. With such an infectious proper house melody, along with some of the most effective and accessible vocal reverberations we’ve heard utilized in some time, as well as support from some of TMN’s favorite producers including Annie Mac, The Magician, Moon Boots, Bondax, Blonde and more, “Thinking About It” is poised to become this Summer’s house anthem above all else. “Thinking About It” is available through FFRR/Eton Messy Records on Beatport for our DJ friends and those who must have this one in their music libraries at all times, but in the mean time, stream above.
