We Were Promised Jetpacks
Safety in Numbers

Boasting one of the single best names in the music industry, Edinburgh-based five-piece We Were Promised Jetpacks bring a swirling culmination of electric percussion work, cinematic builds and emotion-rich soundscapes that oh-so-few can accomplish.

Grabbing our ears back in These Four Walls, this indie rock outfit brought us varying elements of indie rock genres, providing us with an intense and overwhelmingly enjoyable listening experience for quite some time. In all honesty, we can’t count how many times we’ve listened to “It’s Thunder and It’s Lightning,” and “Quiet Little Voices.” In fact, we’d be quite interested to see the actual statistics.

In their latest release, we’re offered another drum-centric tune with glorious guitar melodies wavering in the background. Coupled with Adam Thompson’s subdued vocals, “Safety In Numbers,” brings a warm, security-blanket-type feeling of comfort. WWPJ are back and Unravelling is going to be one hell of an album.
