Maintaining the iconic piano progression and Steve Perry’s dynamite vocals, MYNGA goes for a classic house sound, filled to the brim with Pjanno-esque stabs, a fresh lead guitar section, and, of course, “IN THE NIIIIIIIIIIGHT!” Updates to classic rock songs can be met with hesitation a lot of the time and are hard to pull off, but MYNGA manages to find a perfect medium in keeping the energy of the original while adding their own flair as well.
