British band Foals decided to take a stab at one of 2010′s signature summer bangers, Swedish House Mafia‘s “One.” Insert lead singer Yannis in place of N.E.R.D.’s Pharrell and replace the synth with Foals’ instrumentation and minimalist pop sound and you have yourself a completely new song. Though the song is not an electro banger, the live instrumentation breathe a new life, giving it a slightly dark feel to it. With a bass line that sounds like something Jack White would conspire, and the aura of the Arctic Monkeys, this song could earn Foals some new fans.
