Meg Myers
Desire

You’ve just been invited into Meg Myers’ bedroom. Don’t be intimidated though, she wants you there. While that’s exactly what every guy wishes were the truth while listening to this L.A. based vocalists latest release, we’ll place our bets on the fact that you weren’t the one she was singing about.

It’s been a wild and entertaining ride watching Meg progress in both her musical style and her persona. We interviewed her over a year ago via skype, and were instantly addicted to her playful charm and goofy demeanor. While we would expect this to translate to her artistry, it does no such thing. Meg’s darker side comes out in her music, displaying that what lies underneath her prepossessing exterior, which is something much more serious.

We’ve heard the darker side of Meg with tunes like “Monster” and “Curbstomp,” and now we’re introduced to her seductive side. In “Desire,” we were admittedly taken back by the direct and forceful nature in which she engages her listener. You’re not asked to fall for this song. You’re expected to.

Produced by her long time musical accomplice Dr. Rosen Rosen, this tune features sultry lyrics that will make any man question whether his significant other will get upset over the fact that he’s listening to it. Coupled with an insane guitar solo from Steve Stevens, famous for his work with Billy Idol and MJ, this track is an impressive first single off her upcoming EP. Keep an eye out this January for it, we’re pretty sure it’s going to be one you won’t want to miss.
