The LA meets London duo Medii has planted a major flag on 2022 with the release of their LP What If This Is All Real. The fourteen track project showcases the group’s dynamic talents with influences from electro pop to 80’s, to indie dance and beyond.

The synth-laden throwback vibes that oozes throughout this LP is one of its best qualities. It’s a glue that keeps this album feeling tight throughout. Another highlight that keeps things cohesive despite the wide range of talents involved are the vocals. From front to back What If This Is All Real is packed with memorable performances from the likes of Cat Cayenne, Gemyni, Sidney Blair and more. Medii delivered a massively fun listen that manages to also express emotional sentiments that will make the LP a timeless treat.

[Electronic] ClariS – Careless (Slushii Remix)

The prodigious producer Slushii is back together with Sacra Beats, formerly Sakura Chill Beats, for another massive anime remix. This time he takes on “Careless” by ClariS which many will recognize as the opening theme song from season 2 of Magia Record.

Slushii’s take on “Careless” is a bubbly midtempo record that takes influence from numerous genres including future, pop, moombahton and more. It’s a fun record that even English speakers are going to sing along to as they dance away to Slushii’s synth heavy production. It fits perfectly with the style of ClariS’ original and makes for one of the more unique remixes in the Sacra Beats ever-growing catalog.

Apashe has long been one of the most interesting producers out there and at this point he’s earned the right to be called a composer too. With his classical influence that brought him to record an album, an EP and more with real orchestras, he’s one of dance music’s most iconic creatives and now he’s back with another iconic musician in the masked Vladimir Cauchemar.

There song “RIP” is a beautifully contorted blend of styles that one can only describe as cinematic house. It’s a hypnotic record that comes with an even more astounding music video. Apashe has been widely recognized by his impressive music videos before, but the visual counterpart to “RIP” is bigger than ever. It’s grand, sharp, indulgent and Earth-shattering (literally). Check it out for yourself and enjoy the end of the world.

[House] Rich Furniss x Morsy – On The Moon

House head Rich Furniss is back alongside fellow New York producer Morsy with the club-ready original “On The Moon.” Released by Global305, this chill vibe is the follow up release to Rich’s “Game On.” Following an even more laidback mood, “On The Moon” is a Summer slapper that oozes that classic house style.

Rich and Morsy’s single is one of those easy listening records that you can just run back several times over. It’s fun, minimal and really captures that old school sound while giving it some updates. You can feel the chemistry between these two friends (of over ten years) and even vividly imagine the setting of the song’s inspiration, which you can read about directly from Rich below.

As we move into festival season we’re getting into the time of year when producer’s are bringing out their big tracks, which is exactly what Vincent & RUNN deliver with “Sunburn.” Memorable from the start, this record is certainly a special one within both artists’ impressive discographies.

“Sunburn” is a song that you will not be able to get out of your head, not that you even want it do escape. Vincent delivers one of his most catchy productions yet while RUNN shows yet again why she is one of the best around. It’s future bass meets pop sound is just dying to crush on the radio, so don’t be surprised if you hear this getting rinsed across the airwaves or crops up in a bazillion playlists. Be cool and add it to yours first though! 😉

[Drum & Bass] Craze – Stuck On You (feat. Palmer Reed)

The legend Craze is back with “Stuck On You” featuring Palmer Reed. Released on Slow Roast Records, this drum & bass jam is an absolute heater that is a must listen, even if you’re not into drum & bass.

The thing with DnB is that it’s more flexible than many realize and “Stuck On You” is evidence of that. It’s lighter vocal-driven sound is reminiscent of many songs that have graced the radio over the years. Palmer Reed shines on this with a catchy performance that works so well over Craze’s heart-pumping production. It’s a magnificent cut from two talented people that we can only hope get together again for some more magic.

The cinematic maestro Danny Olson has recently dropped his biggest EP to date. Featuring the next chapter of his ever-evolving orchestral signature, the Club Cinema EP features five singles created in collaboration with vocalists including Vo Williams, David Frank and Daemon.

Together these cunning creatives put together a masterful record that is just aching to be in Hollywood’s next big action trailer. Danny is no stranger to sync success, but with songs like “Dreamer” and “Don’t Wake Me Up” he’s surely going to add a few more commercial spots to his belt. His ability to express emotion at such a high level, while still offering up energetic songs that would crush in a live setting is astonishing.
