[Remix] John Denver – Country Roads (Pretty Lights Remix)

I think we all know something at this point in time – Pretty Lights is awesome – and this track certainly follows that train of thought. The Colorado born, sample-driven producer has recently released his take on the classic John Denver song, Country Roads.

This track is seamlessly put together, as expected. It maintains the original simplicity of John Denver’s tune, but adds in a little hip-hop beat that picks up the tempo nicely. While this would be more than enough to make you grin, the best part is yet to come. At the 2:20 mark, a wobbly electro bassline drops in and blends in with the existing samples beautifully. Once it’s done, all you can do is smile, and hit play again.
