Directions (Picard Brothers Remix)
The Picard Brothers writing and production credits are already staggering between their work with Mad Decent and Pelican Fly, and the newest remix they are unleashing covers the self-proclaimed “SLOP” (A moniker SIROJ uses to classify his tunes that is mostly defined as a unique bridge between house and hip-hop) by Amsterdam native SIROJ. The brothers’ take on “Directions” certainly sits more on the Pelican Fly side of their production style, as they mutate the house structure of the original into a wavy deviation filled to the brim with big drums, lavish chords, and a breezy style that’s definitive of the future bass state of mind. Constant evolution with these types of tunes is key, and the Picard Brothers have once again nailed it with another notable remix.
