[Multi-Genre] 8Er$ – The Golden Axe EP

One of bass music’s brighter gems in 8Er$ has just graced Firepower Records with an EP. His four track EP, The Golden Axe, will chop your speakers up with its sharp bassy edge that can be found throughout the varying genres expressed in this project.

The Golden Axe starts off awesomely with “Awesome,” a record that pays homage to early 2010’s dubstep while blending the style with its 2018 counterpart. Next 8Er$ switches things up with the bass house single “RRR” that may be our favorite song on the EP. Holly joins in the fun with his collaboration on “Flushin” that exhibits a syruppy, slow hybrid sound. Lastly, we reach the final single that just so happens to be the title track. As the title track, it closes The Golden Axe out perfectly with a maniacal composition. Add The Golden Axe to your arsenal today.

The second weekend of Coachella is upon us and we’re keeping the festivities going on our end with another edition of the Friday Party Playlist. If you’re not already a fan of 8Er$, you’re late to the party. Even if you’re not on board, better late than never. The trap lord just released “Smoke Shop” today as a free download. It’s coming fresh and hot out the oven for this premiere, so prepare yourself.

“Smoke Shop” is a bit of a different style than what we usually get from 8Er$, however it is still within his signature ballpark. The hybrid sound echoes some of 8Er$ past works, but he takes things next level with new structures and sound designs. The entire Block Society crew are extremely talented, but 8Er$ is one of the producers leading the charge with notable creations, this included. Stream it today, and don’t sleep on the download. 2017 is going to be a big year for 8Er$, so stay tuned.
