CAPYAC ft MOONZz — Afterhours

With SXSW just around the corner, there’s going to be a lot of choices for who to see there. One such duo that needs to be on your list is CAPYAC. These intriguing characters have taken over the dojo today with the premiere of “Afterhours” in collaboration with one of our favorite vocalists, MOONZz.

Together these creators put forth a future pop original whose tones will be echoing throughout the dojo for quite some time. We just can’t get enough of it. “Afterhours” is good any time of the day or night, it doesn’t have to be quite literally after hours. The week is almost over and we know a lot of you need that extra bump of inspiration to get through it – we’re proud to say we’ve got it for you here. Throw this one on repeat and let the beautiful textures shower over you.

Afterhours Ft. Nina Sky (Sharps X Convex Remix)

Seattle’s Sharps and Convex of LA partner up to take on the single “Afterhours” by Troyboi and Diplo. Their free remix is an awe-striking future bass production that is not your run of the mill record. Sensational synths pierce the speakers alongside the sweet vocal from Nina Sky. Sometimes songs of this style keep things too light, but these two producers make sure to bring big 808’s and manage to keep things thick and juicy. Their take on “Afterhours” is one the chiller side, but it still has energy and groove, making it a track that can hold it’s own at festivals. Anytime you try and take on a Diplo original, it’s a tough thing, but Sharps and Convex pull it off without a hitch. If you didn’t know Sharps or Convex already, this is one hell of an intro to these talents.

[House] option4 – Late Night Drop

Late Night Drop (Original Mix)

option4 is a name which has been featured here at TMN a few times now, and for absolutely good reason. His brand of dance music has been self-described as “more house than tech, more deep than disco” and we couldn’t have coined it any better ourselves. “Late Night Drop”, the latest effort from the budding producer, certainly flashes influence from each of those aforementioned electronic genres, relying on a distinct set of synths to wind itself into afterhours party territory but more than enough pop sensibility to crossover to a multitude of listeners. That signature option4 bounce is all still there, but this time is cleverly dispatched amongst a sea of dark, luscious pads and shuffling hi-hats for a deeper groove and another glimpse into the diversity of his glowing production standard. “Late Night Drop” is being given away as a free digital download through Night Supply Records, so be sure to grab your copy here and be on the lookout for more option4 tunes in the near future, Ninjas.
