[Music Video] Charge The Atlantic – I Know You’d Be There

Charge The Atlantic is back. Since the boys performed their song “I Know You’d Be There” with IPA beer bottles, they put together another video for the single. This time around it’s an official music video that is equally as cool as their previous.

The thing we love about Charge The Atlantic is their laid-back vibe and humility; they let the music speak for itself. You’re probably wondering how the music speaks for itself when a video is involved, but we’re getting to that. The video itself plays well off the music, playing up a fun tone while not going overboard. It was all filmed within a neighborhood setting, with no added fluff to catch your attention. The wavy, reggae-tinged tune and it’s visual counterpart are just two examples of why this band NEEDS to be at the top of your radar.

[Video] Charge The Atlantic – I Know You’d Be There

We already knew Charge The Atlantic were cool. The thing is, we didn’t know they were “play a song using tuned beer bottles” cool. That’s right, someone get these guys a beer sponsorship because we’re loving this creative performance video they came out with and we want more.

Together in what seems to be the living room of a home, the IPA loving four piece band play “I Know You’d Be There” with instruments you would assume to be there, along with beer bottles that they tuned specifically for the song. Not only are the bottles blown in, but also used as percussive pieces. The song is great, the video is phenomenal and Charge The Atlantic are legends. The best part of all this is that these guys are just getting started. This video was created for an NPR Tiny Desk competition, so show them some love!

[Indie] Charge The Atlantic – Something You Feel

Something You Feel

Something we are really feeling is “Something You Feel,” the new single from Nashville’s Charge The Atlantic. It’s a whole bunch of things that we have come to love, mashed up in one composition, executed to perfection by some magnificently talented musicians.

“Something You Feel” has a bit of everything, taking cues from styles like indie, jazz, alternative, pop and more. It’s not easy to take from so many places and make one cohesive song, but Charge The Atlantic did just that without skipping a beat. Every single second of this song is enjoyable, but more than that, it is a ride you are going to want to take over and over again. It’s peaks and valleys are equally engaging, despite their difference in energy. This push and pull is just one of the many reasons why “Something You Feel” is one of our favorite tunes this month.
