[Music Video] Wallace – Good Guy (With a Gun)

The Chicago singer/songwriter Wallace has graced the web with an intimate anti-gun track called “Good Guy (With a Gun)” whose charitable efforts shall not go unnoticed. The single calls for proceeds to be donated to March For Our Lives.

Not only is there the song, but Wallace put together a fun little lyric video to augment the track’s already powerful appeal. It’s simple, yet effective in conjuring up the connection that is needed to progress a movement. There have been a few anti-gun songs that have come out, but this is one of the best projects so far. Enjoy the video and make sure to donate to the charity.

[Music Video] AWAY – Honest To God (Feat. Charity)

Here in the dojo we’re all about AWAY. Each time a release comes our way we’re ecstatic with what he’s put together and that’s no different when he puts together a visual project. The release of his music video for “Honest To God” with Charity is evidence enough that AWAY’s got the video game on lock too.

If you haven’t heard “Honest To God” then you’r in for a gloomy gem that will make its way to the top of your playlists in a hurry. Just as it is with AWAY’s music we get a dark video to accompany the record. We won’t get into too much detail, but it’s an intriguing tale that sucks you in; siphoning your attention until you can’t look away even if you tried. See for yourself!

Honest To Gød (feat. Charity)

AWAY is back at it, this time coming through the Lowly Palace pipeline with “Honest To Gød.” This original single features the LA vocalist Charity and shares a mind-bending array of styles all mixed together to AWAY’s liking.

Not only is it to AWAY’s liking, but it’s to ours and the hundreds of thousands of others who have heard the track since its release. It’s a dark, moody piece of music that shows off AWAY’s signature, something that has established him as a unique producer among a sea of generic caricatures. Together with Charity AWAY made “Honest To Gød” something truly memorable and will go down as one of the year’s most distinct and yet accessible records.

SAVING LIGHT

77% of students are bullied mentally, verbally, & physically. Cyberbullying statistics are rapidly approaching similar numbers, with 43% experiencing cyberbullying…

The anticipation for Gareth Emery and Standerwick’s trance single, “Saving Light” landed for release by Monstercat, has created a lot of commotion since EDC Las Vegas ’16 when Gareth teased it to thousands. The emotional lyrics sung by HAILENE paired with the upbeat tempo of Gareth’s signature trance and dance heavy tempo brings more to the table than just a beautifully built song. “Saving Light” is also bringing the, too close to home, issue of bullying to light with a philanthropic effort.

No more disempowerment. No more prejudice. No more bullying. – Ditch the Label

Until March 1st, 100% of all profits made by both artists and the label via sales and streaming revenue will be donated to the Anti Bullying group Ditch The Label. On top of the proceeds, Monstercat will also be pushing a donation drive to the charity throughout the campaign. To give back visit Monstercat’s call to action page here.

[Show Preview] Wildlife Control – Wild Animal Sanctuary 7/20

Wildlife Control
Analog or Digital

What? Huh? Wildlife Control the indie rock band is playing at a show held by the Wildlife Animal Sanctuary out in Keenesburg, Colorado? Yep. That’s definitely the case this Saturday and we couldn’t be more excited.

Aside from the coincidental amusing name combination, this is actually a really cool experience. We recently teamed up with the Wildlife Sanctuary in Keenesberg (30 miles NW of Downtown Denver) to offer some help with their summer concert series. This series is designed to raises awareness and funding for this amazing non-profit. You may have seen the sanctuary on the news in past years, as they have rescued animals from all over the world in all different types of situations. It’s a 720 acre refuge, which is home to 51 lions, 70 tigers, 92 bears and other large carnivores that have been rescued from illegal or abusive situations. Pretty rad, right?

Not only is Wildlife Control playing this 100% free event, but there’s also two other supporting artists. Over Soul’d and Rocky Mountain Brassworks will be taking the stage in the earlier part of the day, and are sure to put on a good show.

While this is a really busy weekend here in Denver with the UMS and Global Dance Festival, we encourage you to check out Rock Into the Wild. The show starts at 3pm which means you can watch all three bands and still make it out for whatever Saturday night endeavors you have planned.

For more information head to Rock Into the Wild’s website.
