A remix of Swedish House Mafia‘s track “One” Congorock has masterminded this juicy bit with stellar, Cumbia-inspired deep percussion and choral synths – that form the building blocks for the overall construction of the track’s massive reverberating soundscape; which are characteristic of Congorock’s sonic drives. Coupled with his bass-laden, reggaeton-in-da-club track “Babylon” released just this past March, Congorock has taken the dance tech soundwaves by tropical storm.

Lately, I’ve been completely enamored with Florence Welch, better known as Florence and the Machine. I’d always liked her, but never realized what a great talent she was. That was until I heard “Cosmic Love” and saw the video for it (which, might I add, should win some sort of lighting award). Then I knew she just had pure, raw talent. I wanted to share that song with the Music Ninja crowd, but I knew it just didn’t feel right. Luckily, I came across this excellent remix by P.E.S.T, which I think will fit in perfectly over here. Even though this remix has a nice dance beat, it still highlights Florence’s beaming vocals. It’s a crime that I didn’t recognize her talents in time to make it a point to see her Coachella performance, I hear it was one for the ages. Keep an eye on this one. Even though she’s pretty big already, I think she could reach superstar status in the future.

It is hard to write a good review about The Glitch Mob because all I really wanna shout is: THESE GUYS ARE THE $%!# AT PRODUCING ELECTRONIC CLUSTERFUCKS OF GLITCH/TRIP-HOP/ELECTRONIC BEATS. No joke, no sarcasm, no bullshit. If Ratatat redefined the way we look at instrumental electronics by establishing themselves in the very genre they influenced, The Glitch Mob is out to change the current state of glitch, trip/hop electronics and transform it into something we have yet to define. Whether it is by doing it collectively under one moniker, or individually as edIT, Ooah, and Boreta, The Glitch Mob mean business by rejecting traditional instrumentation and instead relying on ‘robotic bleeps, mechanical clicks and scratches, erroneously produced noises never found in nature and an army of bass, often overlaid with gritty and organic rap lyrics.’
You know how much we loved Drive It Like You Stole It when we heard it back in March and this time around Boreta has stepped out to the plate releasing on his own version of Haiku Detat’s Mike Aaron & Eddie as well as a much calming glitchy new wave remix of The 4th Movement by french producer Krazy Baldhead (yes he is both bald-headed and crazy in RL).
