[TMN Premiere] Ne-Yo ft. Juicy J – She Knows (Kayliox Remix)

Ne-Yo
She Knows (Feat. Juicy J) (Kayliox Remix)

Following the rising popularity of tropical house, bass-house/future-bass is becoming another household sound in the revival of house music. Kayliox, a Canadian electronic duo, is fueling the movement by producing quality future house music. On their latest, a remix of  Ne-Yo and Juicy J‘s “She Knows, Kayliox once again proves they’re one of the frontrunners in a new way of house music.

The tune starts off with a standard 4×4 house beat fused with Ne-Yo’s R&B vocals. While the beat mixes well with the original tune, the drop is not as hard-hitting as we would expect. The grungy synth is both subtle and catchy, and Juicy J’s rap flows well with the overall futuristic style of the track. It shows the diversity and complexity in Kayliox’s music, as they continue to appeal to a larger audience by cleverly remixing Top 40 hits.

Stay tuned and grab a free copy of this dope remix on their Soundcloud page! We are expecting big moves from this talented duo.

[Electronic] Deadmau5 – Strobe (Prince Fox 15k Private Stock Edit Pack)

Deadmau5
Strobe (Prince Fox 15k Private Stock Edit Pack)

There are a few certainties in this crazy trip we call life: death, taxes, and that Prince Fox is the future of electronic music. Now to us, “Strobe” is one of the most sacred compositions ever constructed; any remix or mashup is ungodly yet we still see hundreds being released each year. I’d say the only reason I even gave this one a look is because it was done by Prince Fox so I trust the quality, and quality it is. You may think you’ve heard Strobe every which way: progressive house, dubstep, nightcore, any genre under the sun. And even if there are several future bass remixes out in the market, none can come close to Fox’s effort. What this NYC producer has done is recreate one of the most gorgeous melodies to ever grace our beloved world and add even more to it. Don’t think of this as a deadmau5 remix, think of it as what Joel could have accomplished when he first created this track five years ago.

[Future Bass/Hip-Hop] TRWBADOR – Breakthrough Ft. ESSA

TRWBADOR
Breakthrough Ft. ESSA

Let’s say you just came out a bit rattled after one hell of a rough day. One of those where you’re too exhausted to run it all off, but your head’s still careening too much to curl up under covers and drift off. Well, lucky for you, TRWBADOR’s got just the dose for you with “Breakthrough.”

One part mellow future bass, one part tailored hip hop verse, the UK based producers team up with Hip Hop legend ESSA for the perfect blend of catharsis and reflection. ESSA’s unobtrusive lyrics flow effortlessly over purifying harp melody, his cadence in tandem with dialed back beats, all calmly glazed over with interludes of producer Angharad Van Rijswijk’s soothing vocals. Perfect for making peace.

All told, it’s a powerful but beautiful piece to get re-centered. It’s honest without overly trying, enlightening without being sappy, impactful without being invasive. It’s highly re-playable. “Breakthrough” is out on May 26th as a digital download–or for all of you analoggers–a 7” will be hitting record stores. Indulge. When it drops, I know I’ll be sitting stereo-side after work, unwinding with a glass of super-manly wine.
