High (feat. Waka Flocka Flame & Dylan Guthro)
Released as a part of The Last of Us album, “High” is a single from the Halifax group Neon Dreams who collaborated with none other than the great Waka Flocka Flame and fellow Nova Scotian Dylan Guthro. The vocal juxtaposition between the performers is phenomenal, and with each of them interwoven within the framework of the hypnotic production, everything is in place for a huge track. And that’s just the introduction. Once we get around to the meat of it all, Neon Dreams blasts us with a raspy synth line that is guaranteed to get stuck in your head. Although it’s the only trap track on the album, it holds down the sound amongst a myriad of house tracks. “High” was put together perfectly, and Neon Dreams had to be excited to finally collaborate with Waka Flocka after remixing two of his tracks.
