[Dubstep] The Brig – King Is Back

The Brig
King Is Back

The Brig is one of those producers that never ceases to amaze us. The Russian may not be one of the most popular, well-known producers but he’s been spearheading the bass scene with his incredible catalog of tracks for several years now.

His most recent release is “King Is Back” on MA Music. This dubstep is nothing short of breathtaking. The Brig dishes out a mixture of musicality and sound design that few bass-peddlers posses. If the rest of the year sees him release stuff like this, then look out for him to be taking over the game. If you’d like to support this one, go on ahead and get a copy from digital platforms.

[Multi-Genre] Tiigers – Belial/Takedown

The Italian duo Tiigers recently dropped two heaters through MA Music. Their ferocious A/B side project is good step in the right direction and happens to be one their debut EP. Coming off a free download a couple months ago, this is the duo’s first official release.

“Belial” comes in as the A-side track, pushing forth a hybrid bass sound mixing trap with heavier elements of dubstep. It really showcases where Tiigers can go with their sound. “Takedown” shifts the sound a bit to the house realm, delivering an electro single. Although the song takes you through another sound, it centers upon the electro style that brought so many into dance music. Stream both today and grab a copy of the EP from digital stores.

[Dubstep] Prismatic – Marathon EP

MA Music continues expanding their catalog with the Marathon EP from Prismatic. Fans of dubstep will enjoy this pure-bread project as it has all the bass you could ever want, plus more. Marathon consists of four tracks total, including collaboration with Dubscribe and DELTAnine.

Sometimes when a project is all one genre, things can feel a bit repetitive after a while, but you never reach that point in Marathon. Prismatic went all out with his musical assault, leaving nothing behind so that listeners could have an EP that wasn’t skippable at any time. Headbanging is encouraged, as each song just calls for you to throw yourself back and forth to the beat. All the songs fit together in the grand scheme of the EP, however each individually stand on their own as strong singles as well. We’re not even going to attempt to pick a favorite, but maybe you can. Stream the full EP below and head over to digital stores for a copy if you want it.

[Multi-Genre] Michael White – Never Look Back EP

You might recognize MA Music from their blog or Youtube channel, but they’re a kick ass label too. This week, they dropped an EP from a fellow kick ass human being, Michael White. Spain’s musical treasure dropped his Never Look Back project, complete with four singles; all currently available on iTunes.

Each song is a collaboration, with the list including Lonemoon, Brig, TWOFACE! and STEREOLIEZ. The EP is split in half, with one sharing an electro house sound and the other aligning with trap. With that said, these songs shouldn’t be put into any boxes, as they’re not as straightforward as we make them sound. In fact, once you listen through, you’ll see just how easily Michael changes sounds, even within a single song. Each one is amazing, but we think the standout record on this one is “Freeze!” because it’s just too fun.
