Palm Trees – You Were The One [TMN Premiere]

Palm Trees
You Were The One

Get ready for some good vibes from Amsterdam’s own Palm Trees. Not only do you get to hear the new single “You Were The One,” but you get to hear it first in the dojo. In this premiere you get a Summer-stricken poppy house record that is going to stick in your mind and live for the next several days, if not longer.

Pop has managed to invade so many electronic genres lately, but with “You Were The One” it feels like a natural combination. Palm Trees provides an introduction that feels 100% organic and only by surprise do we get lifted into an electronic setting with soft grooves that still are centered around an acoustic sound. It’s a cool mix of several styles and sounds melded into one song that we’ve been hype on ever since it slid into the dojo. Enjoy a first listen to “You Were The One” today!

[House] Kav Verhouzer & Palm Trees – In My Arms

Kav Verhouzer & Palm Trees
In My Arms

Kav Verhouzer has done it again. This time the fun-loving producer partnered up with Palm Trees to create the original single “In My Arms,” released on Epic Amsterdam. If you thought house music was getting too deep, too dark or too heavy, then Kav is a godsend, and “In My Arms” is one of his best creations yet.

“In My Arms” is a jolly song that is heavily influenced by pop music, but at its heart it is a house record. Kav and Palm Trees manage to work together in tandem as though they have done it a million times before. Everything about this song sounds so fluid and organic. You can’t help but to feel good while you are listening and grooving along to the joyous chords and jubilant melodies. It’s Summer time, and those hot playlists are getting filled up real quick, but “In My Arms” is going to be a special track within those collections. It’s perfect for fun times outdoors with good company. Don’t sleep on this one!

[Tropical House] Palm Trees – Casanova

Palm Trees

The German production duo Palm Trees has exploded onto the scene with their first record “Casanova.” They first made their mark in a big way on Spotify, but now they uploaded their single to Soundcloud to takeover the rest of the web. With much of the tropical house sound, it can be easily watered down, but they take an approach mixing pop elements to create something that is both catchy and engaging. Epic Amsterdam hopped on this song for good reason, it’s closing out the Summer in a huge way. We’re glad these two moved on from their psychedelic band Fragile Mushrooms, because what they’ve started with Palm Trees is something special that can really make an impact in the music scene overall, not just exclusively in dance music. Check out “Casanova” and keep your eyes and ears peeled for more tunes from their camp.
