Promises Ltd. – American Eyes (Gilligan Moss Remix) [TMN Premiere]

Promises Ltd.
American Eyes (Gilligan Moss Remix)

For those who are unfamiliar with Promises Ltd., the project was created out of the union between Chrome Sparks and Charlie Brand of Miniature Tigers. The duo dropped their debut EP a couple of months ago and since then they’ve been pushing out remixes from various producers. Today, we premiere one to you from the Chicago duo Gilligan Moss.

“American Eyes” is the single Gilligan Moss got their hands on and we have to say they did a great job with it. Obviously, as we wouldn’t be premiering it otherwise! For just under five minutes, the duo keep ears at attention with a subtle composition that packs more punch than you’d expect. It’s one of those slow-burns that satisfies through and through from the very start to the very end. Rhythms are this song’s strong suit, as the interplay between the percussion and instruments make for a complex listen. It feels simple, but there’s so much going on it gives us the desire to dive deeper over and over again. Shout out to the Majestic Casual crew for putting this one out, as well as the other dope remixes!

[House] Promises Ltd. – Days Of Lavender (AMTRAC Remix)

Days Of Lavender (AMTRAC REMIX)

On July 8th of this year, Promises Ltd. released their self-titled debut EP. Since then, they have been quiet on the front of originals, however they’ve dropped two official remixes, one of which comes from the Kentucky producer AMTRAC.

When I think Kentucky, I don’t think electronic music, but AMTRAC is certainly shifting that notion. With his remix he took on the single “Days Of Lavender” and turned it out into a deep, minimalist house record. From start to finish this single is as tasteful as it gets. AMTRAC’s melodic take on the indie-electronic original is quite different, but there’s still a hint of the original’s tone within. It’s a masterful remix that we can’t get enough of, and we think you’ll be on the same boat once you give it a listen.
