The Trap Dojo #59 [MP3 Playlist]

The Trap Dojo is here again with all the beats to wank you out of your boring life and drop you into a euphoric land of 808s, where the sidewalks clap with snares on every off-step and you can feel comfortable either throwing a deuce out of the side of a smoke filled lowrider or singing along with emotionally charged remixes of tween pop-hits and everything in between. Brillz does what he does best on this heavy track thats certified to turn any turnt up dance floor into a full scale, elbows and fists, moshpit. The only thing that could possibly make Keys N Krates killer track any beter might be some sharp lyrics which King Louie, Tree & Cyhi the Prince deliver on this remix. Rustie and Salva remix a couple killer hew hip-hop tracks including verses from Pusha T, Tyler the Creator and Sage the Gemini and K Theory keeps the hip hop vibe right on going with an original track. Next up is three tracks from thefaded. ‘s newest (and last?) release “One Last Time EP“. The whole EP is 11 tracks which are all solid gangsterdam bangers so download it all free at the link above. Kid Sister, Smookie Illson, LVX, Tropkillaz and Goon Bags all bring their own booty poppin twerk bangers. The Trap Dojo #51

If you thought that turning 50 would slow us down with providing your weekly fix of the best trap tunes, you were sorely mistaken. This week, D!RTY AUD!O and the guys to put on your watch list, Tropkillaz come through with one of the booty shakenest tunes of the week with “HAHAHA”. The twerktacular beats keep on coming with Spenda C on an original mid-track flip, along with Meaux Green, DMNDZ and K Theory dropping it down low. Next up, take a little trip across the pond for some of the hardest music coming out of the UK right now. You may not recognize the name I AM LEGION, but if you’ve never heard of Noisia and Foreign Beggars you need to catch up of your bass music fam. This track from the new side project is Noisia’s first foray into trap, and they are able to hang onto their signature heavy sound and with the Beggars’ sharp lyrics, this is one not to be missed. Not satisfied with only one beggars track, I just had to include this hard trapstyle remix from the one and only ETC!ETC!. Tigerblood rounds out our journey to England with some dark spacey beats from their new Celestial EP. Luminox brings us back with some of his killer style of trap, and a couple of my favorite gLAdiator tracks get the VIP treatment. Next up, Psychic Type does what he does best turning the 8-bit soundtrack to everyone’s favorite Gameboy game into hard hitting nostalgia-inducing trap beats. Valentino Khan, Louisiana Jones, OG Status, Watapachi and a few others keep showing us how the trap is properly run to round out the list. Huglife, with his smooth style of lovetrap remixes also just couldn’t be left out, and his remix of Lana Del Ray‘s “Young and Beautiful” close it out.

The Trap Dojo #47

First up on this weeks Dojo is RL Grime with a couple of the tracks from his massive new High Beams EP on Fools Gold. RL Grime has consistently released some of the biggest tunes of the trap era thus far, and almost every track can hold its own to classics like “Mercy” and “Trap on Acid”. These were my favorites, but you can get the whole album from Fools Gold. Redman hops on this next track with Break Science while Diplo teams up with everybody for this track celebrating his one millionth twitter follower. The Socialytes mash-up a couple trap classics with the new Jay-Z and some old school Snoop Dogg gets a new school gansta-trill flip from Gooffee. The next bunch of songs are all foot working, ass shaking, fist pumping party starters that get seriously turnt up before it calms down again at the end with some incredibly laid back remixes of “Get Lucky”, Alicia Keys, and even “Summer Breeze” by Seals and Crofts. With the exception of the RL Grime tracks at the beginning, every song this week is free, so hit that “Buy” button, like the artists on facebook and get free music.

The Trap Dojo #45

Hey Ninjas, today’s dojo is divided into two sections. First off we have some sonic redbull to get you going in the morning and get you through the day. DMNDZ kick things off with a huge remix of Knife Party‘s “Power Glove” that is packing some serious bass. Party Favor plugged a tuba into a subwoofer for this brass and bass banger. Run the Jewels, released a new self-titled EP on Fools Gold Records that has some of the sharpest lyrics and heaviest beats this season. Download all ten tracks here. Dancefloor Junkies will have you “Ready 4 Action” with their dark “Black Skinhead” remix. A couple electro-trap pop remixes of J. Cole and Robin Thicke are followed by some heavy moombah from Caligula and some funky beats from CRNKN and LAZERDISK PARTY SEX. Some aggressive grime and thuggin remixes with more trunk shaking bass and sharp lyrics from some sharp MCs will get you over that last hump of the morning.

Hit play on the second section as you get ready to go home for the day and need chill out on your drive home. Tigerblood really cools things off with his entry to the Shackles “Let You Know” remix contest on Trapdoor. Vancouver homies Krusha and Sleepy Tom take some classic jungle sounds and infuse it with some soothing basslines. There is no time I like Rihanna better than when her lyrics are being used for some smooth chilled out patio jams, and young producer GRAVIS adds some cool G-Easy verses to a chill Aylen re-fix. Buzz Trillington continues the chill mashup wave before Free N Losh bring the fire on a couple amazing throwback jams. Ray Charles and Frank Sinatra are among the many amazing remix choices for their new EP “The Best Is Yet To Come” Hucci and Huglife, the latter of whom we haven’t seen in a minute since a feud with DJ Sliink forced him to change his name, bring some solid bedroom vibes. 222 Oceans finish off the list with one of the most experimental Yeezus remixes yet.

We’re kicking off this weeks Trap Dojo in a hard way with the newest track from trap music prodigy Alex Young, an original titled “Mastermind”. Don’t let the emotional electro build-up fool you, when this one drops, nothing will stop you from banging your head and attempting to shuffle, no matter where you are. Vinnie Maniscalco puts a fresh spin on an old favorite this week, remixing The Champs classic tune “Tequila”. With heavy bass and clever drum work, he flips the familiar sax tune on its head. Ookay and Pyramid Juke come together for a huge collaboration with this minimal track “Yen”, hope you have your subs turned up for this one. The name Aylen should be a familiar sight to you ninjas, so you know when he remixes Porter Robinson the result is going to be massive, complex trap banger. Both ETC!ETC! and CRNKN bring us two very different remixes of Tokimonsta. ETC!ETC! pulls some huge 808s and snares over some lyrics by Kool Keith, while CRNKN chills it out a bit. TRILLWAVE remixes “Good Vibrations” by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch on their nostalgic EP www.trapgodz.com which also includes a remix of “What is Love” and “Believe” by Cher.
