[Music Video] VenessaMichaels – Ridin’ The Waves featuring Effy & Outlaw The Artist

Back on June 8th VenessaMichaels released her debut EP, Flight, complete with three singles and an interlude. All tracks on the concept EP were magnificent, showing the evolution of Venessa as a producer. We’ve been enjoying the tracks ever since, but now we have a music video to further satisfy us.

Venessa’s collaboration with Effy and Outlaw The Artist called “Ridin’ The Waves” kicked off the EP with a bang and has subsequently grown the overall Flight project with a visual counterpart. The video centers around Effy and Outlaw, with each of them performing, as well as the two at a beautiful beach. It’s a tasteful video whose minimalist style is quite powerful. Venessa also will be hosting a 2090 Pool Party on July 29th, make sure to RSVP!

[Electronic/R&B] VenessaMichaels – FLIGHT EP

It’s been years since we’ve waited for an EP from VenessaMichaels, but now it’s here. Not only do we get an EP, but it’s a concept project called FLIGHT featuring some of her favorite collaborators including Effy, Outlaw The Artist and $K.

Complete with four tracks, FLIGHT exceeds our expectations not only in quality, but due to the fact that she flexes hard with her songwriting abilities by moving through a various collection of sounds. Venessa manages to keep her signature eclectic style, but never before have we been able to see it play out in a cohesive long-form project. Through and through, FLIGHT will get you lifted. Have fun trying to pick a favorite and make sure to add this EP to your digital library.

Good Love (feat. Effy)

One of our favorite producers in VenessaMichaels is closing 2017 with a bang. She’s just dropped her original collaboration “Good Love” with Olmos and Effy that has melted our hearts and satisfied us from ears to soul.

It’s nice to see Venessa jumping back to originals. “Good Love” sees her and company getting fresh with an electronic pop hit that could take over radio waves by storm. It hearkens back to Venessa’s signature sound that breathed most exceptionally through her originals works and adds in elements from Olmos’ sound. As always Effy jumps on with a dazzling performance where she takes center stage. Together these three cooked up one of our favorite pop tracks of the year. Get your copy of it today.

[Electronic] VenessaMichaels – After Hours

VenessaMichaels
After Hours

VenessaMichaels has stepped away from her remixes to surprise us with an original track. “After Hours” was inspired by the manga series of the same name and was created in partnership with Viz Media, the anime website that has bridged the cultural gap between America and Japan.

“After Hours” has the signature Venessa sound, but even with that Venessa manages to bring a bit of a different vibe. She took some influence from the manga series and culture surrounding it, paying homage by way of this track. Many producers and industry figures are huge fans of anime and manga, but rarely do we come across a token like this. Stream it today and get a copy of the song from iTunes.
