For years to come The xx‘s music will be prime targets for remixes, edits, covers you name it. The latest track to get reworked is “Chained,” and the maestros behind it are electronic producers John Talabot and Pional. They masterfully give it a new, livelier pulse inspired by the beat in The Streets‘ track “Blinded By The Lights”. At the heart of it, it’s still a sad song of course, but the expanded, 8-minute remix sure gives it new vibes, a new life, and dare I say, it might even be better than the original.
