[Hip-Hop] Common – Congratulations (Feat. Cocaine 80s) (Prod. No I.D.)

Common
CONGRATULATIONS

Common and No I.D. decided to bless us with a brand new collaboration this lovely Saturday evening. With it’s mellow and loungy vibes, the song is meant to depict the events of a wedding day from the best man’s perspective. Despite its celebratory start, the song takes a slightly darker turn as Common contemplates intervening during the ceremony. The song features Common at his best. He’s casual, yet still charming and captivating. It’s one of those songs where you can get wrapped up in the lyrics, but still easily vibe to it even if you’re not paying attention. Lookout for more chill tunes from Common and the Cocaine 80s collective as the year progresses.

[Chill] Cocaine 80s – Fly Ass Pisces ft Common, Jhene Aiko & James Fauntleroy

There is a certain calm that group Cocaine 80s‘ music brings when you hit the play button. It could be the dope No I.D. production or just the smooth vibe the group brings to a track but their latest single is another dose of that sick laid-back sound that has become signature. Collaborating with the newly signed Def Jam vocalist Jhene Aiko and Chitown vet Common, the blending of soothing vocals and hard drums makes this track from their upcoming effort a great listen.
