Bit Funk – Off The Ground [TMN VIDEO PREMIERE]

Bit Funk
Off The Ground (ft Shae Jacobs)

We are proud to present a first look at Brooklyn-based Bit Funk‘s music video for his newest single “Off The Ground.” here at TMN this morning.

Call him El Nino– this track is making huge waves in a very short amount of time. The tune has already hit #2 on HypeM and has close to one million plays since its release. The motivating clap track that’s present at the start of the song along with Shae Jacobs’s R&B-driven vocals are a retro electro combo that builds until it drops. The modern electronic sound rushes in with a deep house beat and the commencement of vocal loops, reminding us that this is indeed a club hit. At this point everyone in the crowd is going to be straight boogie-ing. I know we were our first listen. This track’s smooth and well on its way to becoming a dance floor regular.

For some added boogie inspiration, make sure to check out the music video, as well.

[Chill/Disco] Goldroom – Till Sunrise ft. Mammals

Goldroom
Till Sunrise

The way So-Cal dance-producer-turned-live act Goldroom approached the release of “Till Sunrise” was nothing short of inspiring. By now within most relevant electronic communities, Goldroom has become somewhat of a household name; and with every passing release, it would be quite simple to pick a handful of big name artists to author remixes and pocket a nice penny or two. But, rather than that extremely tired formula, the entire stem package was given away for free weeks ago, allowing any artist with a pirated copy of Ableton to try their hands at an official remix before anyone had even had a chance to hear it. We’ve heard great revisions already from names like MyKill and Justin Faust, which truly only stoked our proverbial fire before its concrete release today. But alas, it is Goldroom’s original tune which of course surpasses anything else done with the song. A wave of soft synth and airy pads give life to the track’s two-steppy stride of a melody before  Mammals’ breathy vocal incantations take their seat as our focal point. Goldroom’s slowed down brand of dance plays as luminous as ever, immediately taking our subconscious to late night rooftop parties and beach side soirees with our best friends; which is something we’ve almost come to expect from the multi-faceted dance creator. This one is about to go viral, so be a few steps ahead and stream “Till Sunrise”, which is out now on Binary, above. Trust us, it’s the most perfect Monday tune you’ll have listened to in months.

[Nu-Disco/Soul-Pop] Body Language – Feel It [TMN Premiere]

Body Language
Feel It

Brooklyn based indie-disco purveyors Body Language first showed up on our radar all the way back in 2011 with their remix of Givers’ “Up Up Up”, again back in 2012 with “I’m a Mess” and last year through an impressive, disco-synth laden retooling of Great Good Fine OK’s “You’re The One For Me”. Today, the multi-faceted electronic quartet returns to TMN for the first time in 2014 with a funk fueled synth-pop listen, “Feel It” for an official TMN Premiere. The second single to drop off of an impending extended play Infinite Sunshine, due out August 12, “Feel It” takes shape under a rolling four-four kick and the kind of sprightly guitar riff you’d expect to hear penned by the legendary Nile Rodgers before bursting into a sun-ripened downtempo dance groover. Never have their chunky 80’s dance synths held such weight either, with an incredibly danceable lead synth and bass line wrapping the entire movement up with a lovely little bow, simultenously turning in one of our favorite original tunes from an intellectually danceable catalog. We’ve also gotten confirmation that Body Language is currently working on the follow up LP to 2013’s Grammar, which we can’t wait to wrap our ears around either. Stream “Feel It” above, and we’ll keep bringing you the Body Language heat leading up to the release of Infinite Sunshine in a few weeks.

[Disco/Pop] Lemaitre – Wait feat. LOLO

Lemaitre
Wait feat. LOLO

While we might be a few days late to the party on this one, there was just no way we couldn’t feature Oslo electro-pop troupe Lemaitre and their latest single “Wait”; which features an alluring vocal from LOLO. A single from their forthcoming EP Singularity , due out tomorrow, July 22; “Wait” jumps off immediately with a subdued funk-guitar riff and classic piano stabs before bursting open behind LOLO’s exquisitely primed vocal track and huge snare kick. Structurally Lemaitre employs a very pop leaning backbone, but just past the tune’s halfway point, a heavy, but welcome dose of electro synth ushers in a high energy apex that meshes just wonderfully with LOLO’s infectious chorus. There just is simply nothing we can do but start dancing along to this one, which is also the reason it’s a Monday must have today. Lemaitre’s Singularity EP drops via Astralwerks, also home to Porter Robinson, Mat Zo and more TMN favorites, so be ready to get your hands on this one tomorrow.
